"Being a senior, that's not as savvy of a computer operator as one needs to be in today's digital environment, gave me cause for concern when I became faced with doing the MLS online courses. In my case, I was actually taking three courses, the OUPV, the Master's upgrade and Sailing endorsement. And, the concept of doing my actual Coast Guard exam, as an online proctored exam, was new to me and, honestly, a bit worrisome. Not having a camera or mic on my desk top, I had to borrow my sons laptop in order to take the course. The initial questions I had, relating to getting started, were all quickly answered, in a non-condescending way, by the MLS Learning Specialists, that were readily available by phone. The actual course, which was backed up by books, was well structured and easy to follow. If you read the books and become fluent in answering each set of test questions, you will have no problem when it comes to passing the proctored exam. MLS has demonstrated that they really have their stuff together, with the product they have created.
