I felt like the service worked well; I would have like to have more control over being communicated with by people that were outside my parameters. After saying I was looking for a specific age and geographic range, I had multiple contacts daily from people well outside my ranges. It was frustrating.

But, the complaints are limited and the benefits were great. I feel like it was worth every penny."

"The profile gives a good start as to what questions to ask during the initial meeting. Information in the profile saves time by helping to eliminate a poor match. Women need to be advised by Match.com to answer all questions and to make the paragraph about themselves as short and to the point. I don't bother reading a long dissertation. "

"Has match.com done any kind of review of what a user-friendly site looks like? The web interface is ridiculously buggy and it is a terrible website to use.
Apparently they don't care since users have to pay for a minimum of three months in advance before realizing what a terrible experience the website is.

I found someone that I am very excited about on the stupid site though so I have highly ambivalent feelings about it. Super stoked about it working for me; super annoyed at what a frustrating experience it was to use the site.

My name is Ryan and I write this review to tell of my story about Match.com and about how it helped me. Before I signed up for online dating, I never really dated before. I never dated in High School or for any of college, mainly because I was so painfully shy. I finally worked up the courage to try something different and so I tried Match.com. Being able to be so selective about women and try and put myself out there in the safety of the internet was exactly the sort of first step I needed to try and find someone special, and I did. After 3 months of trying I finally found someone with whom I thought was special. We went out a few times and it quickly formed into a relationship. We had tons in common and we had so much fun spending time together. I was very happy. She was the first girl I had ever had a serious relationship with and with whom I shared many of my relationship firsts. First kiss, first time meeting her parents, first weekend trip, etc. I truly valued everything that Match.com had helped me achieve. The relationship may have lasted only a few months but it is still something I cherish greatly. I learned so much about myself, women, and the world in general that I wouldn't trade any of that for anything. Match.com allowed me my first relationship to help me learn what things I need from a partner. Relationships are hard and the reality of what one entails has been certainly shown to me, but I am not dissuaded from this. While I have been very sad that it ended and have been left feeling drained and angry, I know I will try again. Once I have fully accepted what happened between us and have given myself enough time to heal, I fully plan to put myself out there again. Match.com will allow me to do that again and hopefully next time, with my newfound knowledge and experience, I can find someone great! I thank Match.com. I heavily recommend it to any person who is looking for a relationship and is either too scared or is somehow unavailable to use the "traditional" forms of finding love. Worth every penny.
