"The program is frustrating from a control standpoint. At times I felt like I was having to work to hard to use and maintain the controls I wanted. Additionally turing it off is much more difficult than turing it on.....the software is programmed to keep you active and paying....gets very annoying from a user standpoint. A real money maker that one...."

"I encourage Match.com to ask their members to really think about how they answer questions, so other members who view their profiles have a better sense of a 'match.' For example- drinking. If someone says 'Never' encourage that member to elaborate a bit in their narrative. They don't have to say they're in AA, but something like "I don't drink and I can't be around other drinkers" would really be helpful. Also, have a more thorough way of screening members to be sure they aren't scam artists. In my last 3 month membership with Match, I had someone scamming me to the point of almost asking me for money. Turns out that man, or ring of men, hit many dating sites with the same story, only names and places are different. I know this because I did the research to find out I was being scammed.
To sum, specificity about drinking and its implications, and more thorough or stringent requirements to be a member are needed. You are a catalyst for major changes in people's lives, and you should be held to a high standard of integrity because of the responsibility you bare in relationship building. "

"I am widowed and loved the online dating experience. I have belonged to four sites. I would only recommend Match with reservations. I hate that they automatically renew your subscription, that is so predatory. Additionally, it is nearly impossible to delete your account. I thought I had it deleted as I had found someone on another site, and kept getting mail from woman on match. They I am sure make plenty of money and there is no need to act like they do.
Match is sort of like a necessary evil, if you want to date online!"
