"I ordered a mattress cover from these guys. While I understand off-gassing can take a day or two I'm almost certain the dog pee smell isn't from off-gasing but is an actual returned item from a previous customer and was probably cleaned up and sent out as a "new" product. I have emailed Ken to ask for a refund and/or a new mattress cover. Haven't heard anything back yet. I guess it doesn't help that I waited until Saturday afternoon to launch a complaint. Not sure what will be done to fix the problem but I ordered a Dog urine - Enzymatic Cat Urine Destroyer as a last resort. Not sure if it would be a mistake to take mattress cover off at this point and try to wash it. I'm just afraid it will shrink the mattress cover down too much so I can't fit the three mattress toppers inside.

"Not sure ho many will find this review but I wanted to write it in just in case it helps someone else. You need to be aware of this company and how they do business.

First of all the good. The mattress is good - the prices are excellent.

The bad. I ordered a foundation with the bed. This was completely forgotten. I had to call after I received the mattress without it and only then was it ordered. No apology no explanation.

The cover. I ordered a 3 inch topper instead of their 2 inch standard and a concern of mine was the fit of the mattress cover. I was told by Greg it was custom made and this wasn't a problem. I was also told by Ken to expect it to be tight at first but that it would loosen up. Well no need to loosen up as it is a fair bit TOO BIG. The cover wrinkles under you which takes away the pleasure of the mattress. I will probably have to buy another 1" topper to add to tighten it up!

Another issue. There are 2 "free pillows". Well one was back ordered and I asked when to expect it. Oh its probably already sent was their response but they can't provide tracking or give me any more info than that. A week or 2 go by and I call again. Oh it will go out as soon as they restock. Well its over 2 months since I ordered and I still don't have it.


Last - customer service is not these guys forte. Both Ken and Greg leave you feeling like you're bothering them at times. And don't get the wrong idea - I'm not the touchy feely type but when you write an email asking questions - and half are ignored and one is answered with half a sentence you really get the feeling they don't have the time for you. That and the fact that they can't get an order right or that there are several issues with the order means I would never recommend these guys to friends or family.

Update: after complaining about the missing pillow and the loose cover I was sent the pillow and another cover which fit VERY well. Not sure what happened the first time.

All in all the product is good - we sleep great. Prices are much lower than competition. Customer service and order fulfillment not so great! But in the end they made everything right. Just took some time ;)

Surprised by 4 stars? Its simple - I am willing to put up with a bit of hassle for a good product at a price much lower than I can find elsewhere - I easily saved several hundred dollars.

"Looking for a natural latex mattress, which local sellers in my area don't even offer, I settled on mattresses.net (AKA Arizona Mattress Co.) because of their pricing and the product appeared to be what we wanted.

Bottom line is that the salesman, Greg, was knowledgable about the product, but never bothered to let me know that they were having problems getting the mattress and their "Your order will arrive in 4 weeks or LESS to your door" claim was total B.S. My exasperated wife finally got involved and called after four weeks passed and Greg again promised a departure date that did not happen, but agreed to send a latex pillow with our order to make up for the wait.

Frustrated, I finally emailed the owner, Ken Hightower, who was very responsive and told me the status, as well as sending tracking info immediately after the mattress left their dock. When the mattress arrived (in perfect shape), it was all we had hoped for -- except no latex pillow as promised by Greg.

It actually took almost seven weeks to arrive, but, hey, supply problems happen. But a little communication goes a long way."
