"I ordered 120 feet of jib sheets to replace my current ones, which were recently damaged. Timing was rather important as I planned a journey starting July 2nd, so I placed my order June 20th. Yes, I verified that the item I ordered was in stock.
Later I checked the order status and it was 'waiting'. I started a chat with a service center person, they ensured me that's a technical delay, the transfer order is on its way and they'll send it to me on June 28th the latest.
Today, June 29th I haven't received any communication from Mauripro, so I checked the order status again just to find it's 'backordered'. So my attempt to do the necessary replacements had failed. Now I have to either sail with damaged lines or have a replacement for 3x the cost I could get. That is not a proper style of communication and not how the promises should be kept."
"I purchased a pair of winches for my sailboat. They had a very competitive price - which turned out to be even better than the competition due to a rebate that they not only made me aware of but filled out the form themselves so I'd receive the rebate money. The items were shipped very fast, they had excellent communication regarding the status (along with the rebate) and the items were well packaged."
"I couldn't find parts for my Profurl system anywhere, and no one besides Mauripro Sailing responded to my inquiry about obtaining replacement parts (even Profurl failed to respond). Mauripro ordered them from Profurl and advised me that Profurl did not have them in stock and that there would be a delay as they Profurl needed to manufacture them. The delay turned out to be longer than expected (3 months), but this is not attributable to Mauripro (it was a manufacturing issue).
This was my first time doing business with Mauripro and delayed delivery made me nervous, but Mauripro service reps responded to my inquiries quickly and professionally each time I requested information or updates. They checked with Profurl and provided me estimated delivery updates. And I did receive the parts, which saved me nearly $2K for a new unit). I am exceedingly grateful for their help, will definitely direct more business their way, and highly recommend them for sailing supplies! "
"was promised in an email what would be included in a ex55s Bow thruster package and when it was sent it was missing the installation kit and other items. I called, emailed and chatted multiple times and the person that emailed the pre-order promise will not get back to me-- coward. no one else would help!"
"Very disappointing experience with this company. Placed and order for just 140' of line and paid for the 3 day shipping from UPS. Guess what, I am going to get it 5 days later! and their customer service says it is not their problem and for me to call UPS! I will be looking elsewere for my lines in the future."
"Not a pleasant experience. I placed a few large orders over a few weeks. The orders come in partial, ripped boxes and I am stuck paying for 2-way shipping on all items even if they don't work. They were completely incapable of producing clear accounting so that I eventually had to request a spreadsheet from them to identify their errors for them. Far too much time spent. Next time, my local West Marine."
"This is a great web site for sailors, with expert advice and excellent pricing. Instead of paying a rigger or yard hundreds or thousands of dollars to swap out running rigging, this site can save you lots of money. Specs for all major boats are on the site and ordering is easy. Highly recommended."
