"Was thrilled to find item online, and that I could collect it at Mechxvl Toy, which I pass every coupla weeks. Put it on my credit card, consulted Google Maps, did homework, and planned to stop in and collect it. But before that, I received email from Christine Birkeland with bad news: No go. She was only positive part of my experience with Mechxvl Toy, as when I reached her by phone to ask "What gives?", she explained a little of the world of purchasing Toyota parts online. Primary issue seems to be that not all dealerships sell parts online. In order to avoid purchasing entire rear wiper blade (2018 RAV4 hybrid), I could find insert ONLY at Ourisman--for about twice the cost I thought I had purchased it from Mechxvl Toy. Disappointing. Wish Toyota dealerships would get it together and make purchasing DIY parts online easier.

"I’m the fourth owner of a 1997 RAV4, one that is now approaching 220k miles.
On my way out of the nursing home a couple of weeks ago, I saw that the rear taillights and brake light were all on despite the crossover’s light switch being in the off position. I also lost cruise control along the way to the home.
I would soon discover it was due to a cushion between the brake and brake light switch having broken off. Luckily, I was able to order a replacement (plus two more) from Mechanicsville Toyota, which arrived a few days ago.
Once I got the RAV4 to work with me on the brake pedal, I was able to get the new cushion into its spot, restoring my cruise control and turning off the rear lights at last. No more disconnecting the battery for long periods of time to save the battery!"
