"Did any of you purchase these from their yahoo! store?"
"MedNetPlus came back as J.C. Morris & Company. Many others have had unsatisfactory experiences with this company. See the ongoing forum at:

"I'm a reporter in Asheville NC looking into complaints about computer equipment bought through MedNetPlus.
If there is a story here, I'm looking for people who have purchased equipment through the company, and what their experiences have been.
Please e-mail me with a telephone number I can reach you at.
My e-mail is ****@****"
" Mednetplus owes me over $10,000 for funds paid to them for notebooks not delivered.
Sent info to Agent Showers of the FBI with no results. Will be making more calls this
week.
I got the same runaround as you. Heard all his promises to make good on his
repayment only to wait another year with nothing to show for it.
I will let you know if I hear anything. Todd Short should not be able to just walk away
from his commitment to repay affected customers like us. "
"Hello.
I, like many others have
been unable to get my money back from MedNetPlus for a computer I paid for by check in February 2001. I realize know that I should've paid by credit
card, but it made a lot of sense to pay by check I thought, as they
would further cut me a discount of 5%. Of course, as with most other
internet-merchants, I thought they would cash my check once they were ready to ship my computer. But it turns out they never had any products in stock from day 1!!! What a fraud! And this guy, the owner Todd Short, is listed as having half dozen more internet-stores, if you do a name/domain search, you'll find them.
I've tried everything, I called the BBB, they couldn't help me
whatsoever, since the file has been referred to the FBI, I submitted information over a year ago to them, but am unable to get any real help from them, hopefully they'll prosecute the guy, but I am still short $1200, and without a computer. I've also tried the Attorney General's office in
NC, but although they are aware of MedNetPlus, are unable to assist, as MedNetPlus "no longer has a valid business-adress", well surely locals in Asheville must know of him, where he lives or operates..?
I am not sure how the legal system works, can anyone basically open a
business, defraud innocent people of hundreds of thousands of dollars, then just close shop and open up a new business, under a different name?
Is this guy not liable anymore? It's unbelievable that we can't get together and form a class-action suit against Todd Short? Or will a federal conviction pave the way for this?
Any advice, or updates any one of you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
C & R
