"After studying Consumer Reports, talking to friends and looking at the excellent information available on resellerratings.com, I decided on a Garmin Nuvi 770. This was based on previous experience with my Garmin Nuvi 200w and the price/feature performance of the 770. We plan to go to europe this fall, so the european maps were a must.

I ordered a refurbished 770 for a very attractive price and a couple of the leather carrying cases that are designed for the series. I received a letter of apology a few days later and told that I could cancel, wait until a remanufactured unit arrives or switch to either a new 770 or another model. I called their support number and was dealt with as customers should expect to be dealt with. They could not give me anything approaching a committment on dates for availabliity, but I decided to give it a few weeks. They were fine with that. Subsequently, I found a new unit for $30 more (shipdog.com) who also had great reviews with your site.

I ended up cancelling with megagps and they were very gracious. I told them that I appreciated their customer face and would certainly keep them on my short list. I look forward to getting my new 770 this week. After that, I will be happy to do a report out on my dealings with shipdog..... Rick"
