My Garmin StreetPilot 2720 was stolen out of my car after a passenger’s side window was totally smashed. I had $500 deductible. A close friend recommended you and I saw a reconditioned Nuvi 770 at a very attractive price. I’ve never bought a reconditioned anything so I called your telephone number. I was assured that it would be just like new---no scratches, dings, etc. Well it arrived in 3 days and it is perfect. "MegaGPS advertised refurbished Garmin 496 GPS's for $999.99 -- a very good price, better than any other advertised on the internet. I ordered one immediately. I received an order confirmation the same day saying the units were on backorder and should ship in 10 days. I never received either any further word or the GPS. In reality, according to their account rep with whom I spoke today, MegaGPS never had those units to sell, but was going to buy them from Garmin, and then couldn't get them at the price they were counting on. As a result, they cancelled the orders, and claim they sent out emails explaining that, but I did not receive one. Now they said they will not make good on the order.

Advertising for sale something you don't have to sell is to me an unacceptable business practice, especially when your company name is "Guaranteed Merchandise." There don't seem to be any guarantees that you'll get what MegaGPS advertises. I will not be dealing with them again."

I had a manfacturing issue with one of the units and got a very speedy resolution to the problem with Mega-GPS actually helping to speed up Garmins response.
