"This company was trading as softbuyline.com and softbetter.com both web sites are now unavailable like my downloads. His google entry throws up some very interesting reading"
"The website softquickly.com (aka megasoft discounts)was registered on Jan 31, 2005 under the name John Hopking, Neo Net ltd, P.O. Box 675, Denver CO. Their email address is ****@****. I tried the registration phone number but it was from a household in Denver and they don't seem to know anything about this schema.
The website lastsoft.biz is registered to a Joshua Kepco in Sofia, Bulgaria. So there you go. Now we know where this is coming from.

"I purchased a software pack with MS WinXP Pro, MS Office 2003 Pro, and Adobe Photoshop 8 CS from Megasoft Discounts, and was able to download the applications, installation key codes, instructions for installation, and 'free' Nero software for ISO CD writing.
However the software was pirated: there was a crack file necessary to run the Adobe suite. Also the price, $150.95, I'm told is about a 90% reduction from retail. "If it looks too good to be true..."
Anyway, if you want to take action, contact the developer of the software (i.e. ****@****, ****@****), or fill out the FBI form to report criminal activity (https://tips.fbi.gov/) - the FBI takes reports pretty seriously: I recieved a callback about 5 minutes after I clicked 'Submit'.
Posting on review sites is good, but naive people (like me) don't think to look up reviews before purchasing, so take action to shut down illegal software distributors - trust me, it feels better, too!"
"I purchased 3d Studio Max 6 from this so called "company" for $209.90 + 9.95 tax. I was so ticked off when I found out that I downloaded a program with a crack. The same thing that you can download off of Kazza or Limewire for free. I am furious. I want to do whatever it takes to put these people into an 8 by 10 room with Bubba. I have anti-piracy companies after them, next step is FBI. Anybody have any other ideas. I want this company to burn."
"I processed a purchase with this company on my credit card, accepting that with direct download the software was priced low but possible as I can get the package through other legal sources with all components for about twice the price US. However, the site says my card was not able to process. On checking with the credit card company they say the transaction was posted. I repeated the process in case I made an error. Voila! Same thing happened and now there are two charges and no download was made available. No contact information has been provided by the company either. They only took my money. I will report them to the police and will send the evaluations from here to my credit card company. They have indicated I may be able to stop the company charging and get a refund. We'll see. Live and learn!! "
"never got an email took our money!! cant find customer service info,,we are out 71 bucks! I am going to report them to the BBB"
"This company is a total scam. It goes by the names of megasoft.com, 911-soft-shop.com, cheapsoftz.com, pcsoftwaresales.com, and who knows what else. Those are just the ones I've found. There is no "customer service" site that I was able to find. If you were offered an opportunity to get a refund but required to execute some sort of "release" or "waiver," get the refund and report them to your bank, the FBI or anyone else who cares. Pay no attention to the release as it is an illegal contract. (An agreement to waive a claim for criminal fraud in exchange for obtaining a refund of fraudulently obtained services or money is not a legal contract. I'm a lawyer so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about.) "
"I ordered an expensive piece of software (listed at $1130, Megasoft charges $100). They billed my credit card for $109.95 and never sent an e-mail with download information. I sent them a message on their customer service website saying I would have my credit card company cancel the payment, since I had not received what I ordered. In a couple of days they replied with download information, and I was able to download the software. Once I figured out how to convert the cd image files they provided into usable CDs, I was able to install the software, and it does work. However, what they send you has a product ID number that is the same for everybody they sell the program to, which means you cannot register the product and you have to replace several files with substitutes Megasoft provides before you can get the program to initiate. So it is not really "the FULL version of software" they advertise on their website, at least what the manufacturer calls the full version. Also, they say they provide customers with Ahead Nero software to burn CDs with, but I never received that, and had to find freeware on the Internet."
"This site is a scam- don't even think about an order!"
"I never bought anything from this store... I was linked to their website from a forum some place else.
Seriously, when you look at the prices for some of their software, they are practically giving it away, and that doesn't make peiple think "wait a sec"?!!?!
Give me a break!
People, if you see something priced at $65 and it's official list price is somewhere in the $250+ (or in one instance the $6000+) range, you've gotta be kidding!!!"
"I recommended this site to a customer of mine, and now I have to refund $119.95 of my own money to him because this is a bogus site. My customer entered his credit card number and the card was charged, but they sent no software. There was no email with link and if you look everywhere on their site, there is no customer service contact information whatsoever. We were taken. I will not rest until these crooks are brought to justice. They WILL regret this. I guarantee it. First I am contacting the FBI tomorrow. Then I will investigate every registration to their website and all other affiliated web sites. I'll bet they have made thousands with this scam. In the end they will pay at least twice that for their threat to society and our economic system . . . . We WILL catch these crooks!

"I purchased Adobe Illustrator, from Megasoft Discounts in the amount of $54.90, they advertise for imediate download of the programs full version, however they charged my card right away, (It showed on my E-Statement before they even confirmed my order,) However I never got anything back from them, no email like promised or anything. The only way to contact them is by their customer service web site, where you have the option to cancel your order. However if you cancel your order you have to agree not to contact your bank or credit cards to file dispute, you have to agree to their release of liability before it will let you cancel your order basicaly putting you in a posistion where you can cancel your order and they dont have to credit you back and you already agreed and release all liabilty and agree that you wont dispute the charge on your card. I very rarely purchase anything on the internet and its because of reasons like this, companys or people like the ones involved with Megasoft Discounts are what ruin the opportunities for honest companies to prosper on the internet."
"We purchased from
Megasoft Discounts
a Corel Draw Software license for immediate download, they charged 65.90 US$ from our credit card, but we never received any email or anything else from this company. so we were not able to download the software. They give no contact address, no impressum on their websites."
