"After placing my order I got a message from Megazip. I had to open an account with them just to see the message. That included giving them my email address, etc.

The message was that my order was going to cost me more than I had agreed to pay. That's extortion. They want an ADDITIONAL $30USD. They want me to believe that my order (a small switch 150g +/-) was too large and heavy for the shipping I had requested.

Beware of doing business with these people. Either their system is inaccurate or they are scam artists. Either way not safe to deal with.

UPDATE:
Megazip has reached out and attempted to resolve the situation. Very surprised as I've never seen a company go out of their way to resolve a situation with a customer in this way. This is currently ongoing and I will update this again once everything has finished. If everything they have said to me in their correspondence this review will go from 1 start to 4 or 5. More updates to follow.

FINAL UPDATE:
Well Megazip really went out of their way to make things right. Can't say I've ever dealt with a company that cares about what their customers think. They identified the problem, rectified it and assured me that they are taking steps to prevent this from happening. Really a positive interaction. Most of us are used to companies not caring but Megazip seems like they do.

"I recently bought a pair of KYB rear shocks from Megazip. After installation the shocks made loud noises while going over small bumps or divots. I contacted them, and they basically said nothing could be done for me. So I bought another pair of shocks, different brand from another company and they are working great. Moral of the story "I had to pay twice for my shocks, thanks to Megazip".

"If you want your parts fast, forget the US branch of Megazip. One of my last orders took 50 days to get to me and I paid big money for USPS priority mail. They also don't package economically. They put small parts in big packages and the parts could have been put in padded envelopes saving customers money. The US office manager should be fired and the manager from the branch in Japan brought in as I have never had a problem with the branch of Megazip in Japan. BTW/ Customer service is useless company wide. Also their payment system has never been fixed and I have to use my personal paypal account to pay. Can't use my visa card or their paypal site. I only order parts from their US office if I can't get them somewhere else. Japan office, no problem!"
