"Warning. Think twice. I ordered a Netgear switch, that they showed 22 of in stock. After paying I received an email saying they didn't have any but could send me one that a customer purchased and immediately returned - i.e. not used. The rep assured me they tested it and it was fully functional. I agreed. The switch arrived and it was HEAVILY used. It was all beat up and dead on arrival. After numerous attempts to contact them they originally said I would have to pay return shipping, which i told them was unacceptable. The switch arrived back to them on 9/23. On 9/28 they sent me an email telling me the credit was processed that day. It never showed up. I contacted them twice more with no response. On 10/11 i contacted them again and then they said the credit was processed on 10/7. It still hasn't shown up and my credit card company has no records of it so i was forced to dispute the charge.
Basically these are a bunch of shysters. There price appears good but the amount of additional headaches they give you if there is a problem is probably no worth it. I purchase a lot online and have never had this type of experience. I encourage you to shop elsewhere."
"AVOID THIS BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS!!! My bad! I didn't read the reviews before ordering! Instead, I trusted a little "Resellerrating Reviewed" banner on the top right of their home page. Didn't try to click on the link (it doesn't work) and didn't come to the resellerratings website to see the fine 5/10 rating. Of course the link to the web page here doesn't work either (memory4less.net doesn't exist anymore). So what happened. Ordered a power supply with free shipping. Six weekday and weekend days later the order page still show "In shipping" for the item. Sent e-mail...no one replies. Call 800 number and get call director with no link to Customer Service. Select shipping "press 2" rings 6 times and an answerer say the one guy is probably busy, leave a message. Did, never called back. Called again, pressed "0" and as asked for someone to track down missing order. Got a human who took order number and told me it had already shipped and he would have shipping send me a tracking number. Never got tracking number. Called again 5 hours later. Got some guy named Quadri on the line. Looks up number and tells me that it is still in-house and didn't I read the notice that free shipping took 3-5 days processing in-house? Told him since it hadn't shipped to cancel the order. Was told to reply to the original order notification and tell them to cancel. Did that! This sounds like a VISA dispute coming to me. Really folks, this vendor just isn't worth the effort. Even a careful shopper is easily conned into ordering. They have all the right things, toll-free, purported reviews, and a pile of recent poor review experiences."
"Memory4Less has provided consistently poor service, verging on what might be considered an attempt at out-and-out fraud.
I ordered an EVGA GTX 285 FTW (P/N 01G-P3-1182-AR) retail boxed video card, but they sent a previously opened box for a different EVGA part number. The card inside the box did not match either the box *or* the part ordered, and its serial number was different from the serial number sticker placed upon it - which had clearly been tampered with & moved in the past. The serial number on the box was already registered by a different owner at the EVGA support website.
Upon contacting Memory4Less customer service, they provided multiple contradictory stories regarding how this could have happened, offered to let me keep the (wrong, less expensive, and previously owned) card they actually sent, and informed me that they could not provide a replacement for the part I actually ordered, even though that part continues to be listed for purchase on their site - with a price more than double what I paid originally.
I returned the card they had sent via a prepaid RMA shipping label, but it took a week of pestering after my RMA was received before they sent notice that they were issuing my refund, and then only after I had sent an email threatening to bring this to the attention of my credit card issuer. It took an entire additional week for the refund credit to be applied to my account, which is an inordinate amount of time for something that should generally only take 1-3 business days.
The only reason I am not rating this transaction a 1 is that they did provide a prepaid RMA label, and (eventually) issued a proper refund without requiring the intervention of my credit card company. I will *CERTAINLY* never attempt to do business with them again, and would advise all others against it as well."
"the product bought was nice"
"Beware of this vendor. I had an experience that others have already commented on. I placed an order, and watched the status go from processing to shipping the next day. I thought all was going well. Later that evening I received an email that my order was cancelled, the item was out of stock and not available. The next day the price for the item on their web page had doubled. Sounds like the old bait and switch scheme. They even charged my credit card. I wonder when that will get credited?"
"Beware, they list products for one price, they tell you it is out of stock and cancel your order. Then list the same items a a higher price and still available for orders. Very bad business practices!"
"Beaware! a very back seller. 4 days after placing my order, they still didn't process the order. I had to call in to check the status, and they told me item is out of stock. I told they I've checkd their website, and the item is still for sale, then the rep wanted to sale the item to me at doubled price, or they gonna cancel the order.
You go to hell with your order! Never buy from the guys!"
"Initially sent out the wrong drive but their customer service was excellent and they overnighted the correct drive. They were very professional and responded quickly in their email communications. "
"Placed an order with this company for a UPS unit. After 1 week of not receiving the product I emailed customer support asking for a tracking # and the status of the order. I did not receive a response back (they had my correct email address as I received an initial confirmation email of my order). After a 2nd week of not receiving the product I called, took me 3 calls before someone answered (tried shipping, sales, sales and then someone answered). They transfered me to someone else and they told me my order had been cancelled because "shipping was too expensive". Hello? You adversited a product for a price, I understand if there was a price mistake on the product. If shipping truely was why the order was cancelled I should have been called and asked if I'd like to pay the new shipping charge before canceling my order, not returning my email, and not crediting my credit card for 2 weeks until the day that I call to ask about the order. Had this company called me before canceling the order, I probably would have paid the increased shipping charge. I would not do business with this company again."
"Placed an order - realized it was the wrong part, and customer service allowed me to switch before it was delivered. Great e-mail notification of shipping and delivery. Shipped/delivered on time. Parts are fine. No problems."
