"My HP Laserjet stopped being recognized on my network. HP support said it was a bad Jetdirect 615N, and since they knew about the flaw before selling the cards their policy is to replace them free with a Jetdirect 620N if it is still under warranty. This was not my case. So they said that since my card was no longer under warranty they would exchange my broken 615N for a new 620N for a discounted price of $229.95 plus the cost to ship the old one back. They claimed this was a savings of $200 off of the regular price, and a great deal.
I searched the internet, and found a brand new Jetdirect 620N for $99 at Memmory Suppliers, and they shipped it for free. I am now using they POS 615N for a paper weight, and printing over my network more reliably than ever.
