Terrible experience

"They took my money 3 months ago and then when I emailed for the third time they only finally shipped and didn’t even ship one of my items bc it was out of stock. over the course of three months it never said out of stock on their website for that item. Complete waste of time "

Worst Customer Service Ever, Bands Need To Find New Merchandise Providers

"3 weeks now and still waiting for a response from a human being on my order status, besides the canned template they use to say the delays are covid related. If you read enough comments on here you can clearly see this is not an issue caused by covid, its MerchDirect failing at providing bands and their fans with a reliable merchandise retail outlet. I placed my order for a birthday gift for my best friend, his birthday has already passed and I'm left out of my money and have nothing from the order.

Deftones and any other band that deals with MerchDirect, DO YOUR PART TO KEEP YOUR FANS AND FIND ANOTHER MERCHANDISE PROVIDER.

Super late shipping, bad product

"I ordered a Deftones t-shirt from them in mid May. They withdrew the money and sent an email that the order was received. After a whole month when it wasn't shipped and there was no update, I wrote to the customer service. After not receiving a reply several times, I wrote to Deftones on instagram and finally got an answer all 3 that I had sent. Finally the product was said to be shipped, but when I tracked it it said label created but not received from the company for over 2 weeks. After I contacted them via email and on twitter, finally I got the the order.

The t-shirt looked so cool on the website but it's really cheap and bad quality, looks very geeky, and smells really bad. I might perhaps wear it as pjs at home. I should mention that it was quite expensive. I paid like 50 euros and normally band merch costs maximum 20 for this kind of product. So stay away!! You can probably get something much better via redbubble! I am disappointed that Deftones works with this kind of company that seems to have quite a bad reputation online!

Will Not Refund Money or Return Emails

"I purchased a shirt during the 2019 Black Friday sale. The shirt arrived in the beginning of December and was too big. I returned the shirt within the 14 day return period after paying to ship Priority mail. It has been 7 weeks and I have not received my money back. I have emailed using my confirmation emails, the Contact Us page, and even tried Twitter because it seemed they were replying there. I have heard nothing from any of my attempts to contact them.

Their FAQ states returns are processed 1-2 weeks after they receive the item and we're 5 weeks past that. What the actual ****? Give me back my money.

Theft and fraud

"Why is this aloud to happen. Clearly it is happening to every single person that orders. Who has and how please talked to a live real person. No one is answering when I submit a contact us ticket on their website and no reply via email. Almost a month and they charged my almost 60 bucks right away no problem but refuse to fulfill my order let alone reply to me which is very frustrating. This needs to end!! "

"ZERO response after I placed an order in early December 2019, and here I am, on 17 Jan 2020 I still got nothing for what I have purchased.
No reply, No help, No order tracking.

Terrible post-sales customer support

"Purchased an "AAL" hoodie on Dec 10th with expedited shipping as a Christmas gift. I expected the hoodie by Dec 17th. Nothing. I wrote and asked...no response.
By Dec 24th, I still hadn't received anything and I wrote again and asked. No response. Here it is 12/30, and nothing. Terrible customer service and I can't find a phone number to call. Unfortunately, some people will associate MerchDirect with the bands whose gear they are selling.

Worst Customer Service I’ve ever experienced

"Do yourself a favor and don’t buy anything from these guys. Order was placed on the first week or December and was shown that it would be here before Christmas. It’s the day after Christmas and still haven’t heard from anyone about the status of my order. I’ve send numerous messages and called the merch direct customer service line and left a message, no reply. I was finally able to get in contact with an actual person today who informed me that they didn’t have enough merch to mass produce enough orders in time for Christmas... that’s the kind of thing than can be communicated through an automated message reply to any and all people inquiring about why their order hasn’t shipped after almost a month. Terrible customer service. Literally had no explanation to why no one was getting back to these inquiries. And on top of all that they already charged my credit card. If you can’t fulfill an order, don’t process the payment. That’s theft. And two months for one item to be shipped it way too unreasonable. Never using this company again. Would have given zero stars if it let me. "

Sketchy company. My order never shipped, and they will not answer my emails. Find somewhere else to buy merch.

"Ordered a shirt and a CD during their black friday sale on November 29th. It is 12/24 and it still has not arrived yet. I originally did not receive an order confirmation, so I emailed to see what was going on. No response. I email again, and I hear that the poster that my CD was bundled with was out of stock, and they offered to refund me for the poster since they didn't have it. I was kind of peeved that I had to inquire into this, and they didn't feel like it was important to notify me that my order wouldn't ship, but I asked for a refund, which they issued. Since that correspondence, I have sent at least 6 other emails inquiring about the rest of the order, which have gone unanswered. I just found out they had a phone number, but of course, closed today. Their website had a Christmas arrival schedule which apparently means nothing, as they still haven't figured out how to put a T-shirt and a CD into a mailbox or send an email over the past month. Based on my terrible experience I would recommend that you stay far away from doing business with this company and find literally any other merch site to order from. "

No Transparency and No Contact Person

"Ordered an xxxtentacion hoodie for my son on 12/4/2019. They charged my credit card $80 and still have not shipped the merchandise. They send out a canned email when you ask for status. I will file a dispute with my credit card company so they can deal with it on the other end since they have not bothered to send the product or respond. They should be investigated by the FTC for deceptive practices and fraud. If I could give them a negative star rating, I most certainly would. "

Awful!

"If i could give 1 star, i would.
Never received my items and when i emailed them, they ignored me. Only managed to fet a response/refund when i contacted Paypal, their excuse was that their printer was broken. Avoid at all costs! SCAM!

Terrible at showing sizes/return policy

"I ordered a large jacket. It came in on time, the jacket was pretty good quality.

However they merged the large and extra large sizing together with no disclaimer about this on their website. So now I have a jacket that's too large that I can't exchange. I emailed them back and they responded within the day saying that I could return it and buy a new one and that the sizing options were s/m, l/xl and xxl/xxxl (not indicated on the website beforehand) So I can now pay roughly $50 shipping to get a new jacket that will probably be too small or just return it pay for the return shipping and then get refunded on the jacket (but not the original shipping price).

If you're buying anything on here look at their sizing chart
