"I bought a knife from MetroKitchen and when it was delivered I noticed that on the box it said to open a particular end, which I did. I gently slanted the box and out flew a razor sharp knife and cut my finger badly. There was no wrapping of the knife blade or sleeve that was on the knife. It would seem to me that the handle side of the knife should have been facing this end of the box. I wrote an email to MetroKitchen and no one responded and so I phoned customer service. I explained that it would be a good idea to check all packaging on an item that is containing a dangerous knife before it is shipped from the warehouse so that other customers would not be hurt in the future. In our conversation,it seemed to me that they were trying to blame the manufacturer of the item and not taking any responsibility themselves whatsoever. In my view, they were rude and unapologetic in our phone conversation. To my way of thinking, it seems that companies nowadays are so worried about liability that they could care less about the customers. I was not impressed with this company, nor would I purchase from them again."
