"The worst experience I've had in four years of extensive purchasing via the Internet. They're refusing to take back a DOA laptop, insisting that it's my responsibility to send it to the manufacturer for repair. The manufacturer disagrees. I've never gotten such a miserable response from any company. Don't be fooled by a low price and fast shipping - you'll have a major headache if you receive defective items from them. They've shown no interest in making it right."
"Ordered a Compaq Presario docking station for my wife's birthday that I couldn't find many places at all - their price was MUCH cheaper than the others. Very cheap FedEx overnight shipping, and arrived almost 24 hours from the time I placed my order. Superb delivery; would definitely order from them again."
"Awesome experience ordering from these guys. Ordered a Apple iPOD on Tuesday afternoon, product was shipped that night, email was sent with tracking number right away. Price was $13 cheaper than anywhere else and their shipping charges were very good ($10 for 2nd day delivery). From my experience I would definitely recommend this company."
"Very satisfied! I ordered a brand spanking new projector (the Infocus X1) from these guys; no other online retailer had it in stock, and they all estimated ship times of about four weeks.
Not only did warehouse.com beat their prices by about $80 ($1521 instead of $1599 elsewhere) but they shipped it in less than two weeks, and even upgraded my shipping from 2-day to overnight for free. :) I'll be back at this store again."
"Ordered a Samsung 171P LCD monitor on Monday (best price I had found anywhere, so was a bit nervous!). Placed order by phone. Received email confirmation immediately and Fed Ex ground tracking number appeared on the Order Status section of their web site later that day (also very reasonable shipping charge). Unit arrived on Thursday in perfect condition. Needless to say, I'm delighted and will shop there again!"
"since '96 i have always ordered online from outpost.com (then known as cyberian) and i have ALWAYS been happy with their customer service, pricing, shipping, just everything. so it was time to buy my 5th macintosh (that dual 1GHz g4 would be impossible to NOT have), only this time outpost was a few dollars more than microwarehouse - AND microwarehouse happened to be giving away an extra free 512 MB of RAM... choice made. it's kind of scary to spend over 3 grand on a computer with a company you are not really familiar with (and it was only over some few extra dollars, so to speak). however, my "point" finally arrives: microwarehouse's customer service were very helpful (more so than outpost), and although the shipping was cheap (not free like outpost is), and it came slowly, it was okay because of the customer service i received over the phone with them. since then, i have purchased some more goodies and they are ALWAYS dependable. i trust them MORE than i do with those apple stores popping around - the ones where you can actually go inside and touch the item before you buy it BECAUSE microwarehouse NEVER tried to sell me extra items and they willingly answered all my questions (with even some extra knowledge on how i can get something at a better price ... now that's just unheard of = sending customers to buy something cheaper than what they are selling it at). yet, that is what will make me buy from them again - they aren't into the "sale", they are into your satisfaction with their company. at least that is how it has been for me."
"Responded quickly to an inquiry before I ordered. Shipped on the same day I ordered. Very satisfied with this merchant!"
"I ordered a Toshiba Portege laptop computer from Microwarehouse. It arrived on time, and at a reasonable price, however the floppy drive was not functioning properly. I returned it without problems."
"Great reseller for educational/business purposes. DataComm and PC warehouses have a huge selection of components and PC systems. Overall a great company."
"Although the pricing was good, I had two major problems with my recent order from microwarehouse.com.
First, the 2 items were delivered 2 days apart. FedEx claimed the late item had been addressed incorrectly (exactly the same label as the first one). When it arrived the box was destroyed. I mean seriously beaten! The box had been retaped, and the bottom looked like it had been sitting in water! As it was our new LaserJet 2200DT workgroup printer I made the delivery guy wait while I unpacked it before I would sign off. Every single piece of styrafoam packing was broken, in at least one place. But they did the job, and the printer was ok. Who to blame?
Second, the privacy policies of microwarehouse.com are the worst I have ever seen. When you sign up they do not tell you that buying from them automatically gets you on their spamming list, and you have to jump through hoops on their account creation page not to opt out, but merely to send them an email asking to be unsubscribed (in 4 to 6 weeks)! Ever since I have been getting special offers on a semi-daily basis. What is really insulting is that on their solicitation it has a "if you want to unsubscribe click here." WITH NO LINK!!!
I don't feed spammers, and I choose not to buy from companies with such a cavalier disregard for their customers privacy. I will not buy from them again based on that alone, not to mention the abyssmal condition that our printer arrived in."
