"Was going to place an order but had online issue with item count vs. checkout count. Ask to call my order in and answer was "NO" and no phone support. Order with caution ⚠️ and suggest ordering & supporting other Homebrew sites."

Warm yeast!

"Today I recieved my order I placed over two weeks ago. Two weeks! The yeast had a water pac( i assume it was once ice) its 93 degrees here, the yeast is unusable. Totally unsatisfactory. I'm very disappointed I had to wait this long and not be able to brew w/o yeast!"

"Midwest is not what it used to be. I wen to their shop and tried to return a drip tray (($50)) that I received as a gift. I had the packing slip. The manager told me to get a return number from their online store and mail it back. Not his problem. I have a 6-tap keezer & bought bout half my Perlick taps there and have ordered how many $$$ over the years. Are you kidding me? Yes, it was the manager. There are other LHBS here in Minneapolis. I am done with Midwest. "

"After reading reviews on this site about Midwest Supplies I figured I would have a 4 in 5 chance of success. Guess what...I got the green weenie. I am currently one of the 20% who are getting lied to and pretty much screwed over. I ordered at 754am on 12-05-13 paying promptly through PayPal. They boast on their website 2 day shipping with 4 day delivery. It is now Dec, Fri 13th...Lmao how appropriate. Still no conformation on shipping. They did however refund shipping cost when I finally got through to customer service. Their operator, Aaron,told me that," unfortunately this is happening way too much." I ordered 3 new kits from a competitor on 12-6-13 which arrived on 12-11-13. They also would not make good on their advertised deal of a $25 gift card on purchases over $75. lol. Their competitor gave it to me when I told them about my Midwest experience. Buyer Beware. I'M STILL WAITING ON AARON TO EMAIL SHIPPING CONFORMATION. 7 days and counting. THEIR WORD IS NO GOOD!!!!!!"

"I have been a customer of Midwest for over 10 years. My recent transition to all grain bad me order 3 kits in the beginning of June. I waited patiently.for one week and no email. I waited the second and no communication. I finally called and they assured me they were busy and would send asap. Continued to wait and after 4 more calls and 3 emails my orders is not complete after a month. When they tried to overnight to rectify they sent only grains and no hops or yeast! I'm still waiting for my third kit and this company has lost a loyal customer."

"Not a great experience.
1. I ordered by overnight delivery. They did not send it by overnight.
2. They did not initially resolve the problem adequately - When I contacted them two days after the order they only offered to either cancel the order (how you do that while the package is in transit, I have no idea) or take off the shipping charges. I really needed the equipment that day, but I still could use the order, so I had them refund the shipping charge and let it be delivered - and went out in town to get the bare minimum of what I needed, which was an extra cost of my time and money.
3. The order came a week after the order went in for overnight delivery, with half the order on back order. Seriously. Why they did't mention this in the two or three times we talked, or when I ordered it as I was talking online with a rep at the time, I have no idea.

4. The item that did come, a week late, was the wrong item. They sent a Nitrogen regulator instead of a CO2 regulator. I mean really, the number of people who order N equipment compared to CO2 equipment has to be miniscule. And how many different things can you do wrong on one order? They pretty much hit them all.

Finally they agreed to do what they should have done in the first place, which was to send another shipment by overnight.

I have done $900 of dollars of retail business with this company the last 15 months, and they basically wrote me off. They should have sent another package immediately by overnight when first contacted. I would not recommend anyone to use this company.

"You never know when they will ship. I broke a carboy on friday. Ordered a new one monday morn and was told it would ship and I would have it by friday. Well its thursday and I have called two days in a row and they said it would get done. I have yet to receive email conformation or a phone call letting me know it got handled. Would not have been a big deal if it were not for all the broken promises. Customer service not good. Product and pricing are. Hesitant for future business."

"When I started Wine-making I did a lot of shopping around, compared their price to at least 10 other online stores and my local Home Brew Shop. Their prices were the lowest. Packaging seems to always leave something to be desired. Always something broken, missing or leaking due to poor packaging. They have made right on the issues with me but it does get tiresome."

"My fourth time buying from Midwest - and have had only good experiences. I recommend them to all of my friends who are homebrewers. Have had no problems with any of the kits or equipment I've ordered, and I would buy any of the kits I've gotten from them again. Cost is the same or lower than I've seen it at other places."

"They have awesome products at great prices. I always receive everything quickly and correct. Customer service is always friendly, helpful and they know their products well. Midwest's website also has a wonderful FAQ to help if you are confused with anything. Their homebrewers forum is also a great tool to get information and discuss topics with other brewers.
