"Well, I guess I am the latest victem of modchip.com. I actually ordered an XFPS 360 Pro from consoleshop.com on 20 September (you might want to add them to your "places to avoid" list. I got an email confirmation from modchip the very next day that the order had been shipped. Here we are 8 business days later on 3 October and no word on my order. I sent them an email asking what the deal is and I'm waiting to hear back... "

"Customer service is very good, when i ordered online a error occured causing me not to get a discount that another site had it cheaper (you get it at that sites price - 5%) i did not notice this till after i was billed and they were great at working with me to get the differnce refunded.
GREAT store
shipping is a little slow to usa but thats to be expected from that country

"Order a set of PS2 Swap Discs, one for DVD and one for CD games. The DVD one does not function at all. Wrote email to the customer support but got no replies. Also the price is higher than the other US based online retailer with identical name "allmodchip.com." Making me wonder."

"Ordered R4 on 5/5...product did not arrive until 5/25 (almost 3 weeks). If you live in the U.S., I would highly suggest you DO NOT purchase from modchip.com mainly because they are in Monaco (Europe).

I live in California and it took almost 3 weeks. 2 weeks after I ordered, I decided to buy from another site based in Texas, got my order within 4 days. I didn't do my research on modchip and I paid the price. Research the sites and see where they're located before you buy.

"Good. Prices were competitive to other sites and the installation instructions were very comprehensive. Although the website says you can expect the order between 3-6 days, disregard and expect it to take up to 2 weeks. Not an issue, but they can save themselves some headaches and low ratings if they just admit they ship slowly!

They were, however, responsive to my email (no phone # to call) which made me less anxious.

"I was extremely paranoid about getting my chip after reading comments on this site. I ordered a globe 360 modchip for my xbox 360. I placed my order on April 30th and received an order confirmation immediately. Two days later on May 2nd I received a shipping confirmation. It wasn't until May 9th that I started reading in forums and other sites about paranoid people who didn't receive their items in the described time. So basically I started worrying and I contacted the site. They told me to wait at least five more business days and to contact them. Here is the original email.

Dear customer,

we have shipped your order on 2nd May. Our shipping department is located in
Monaco Europe, we received your order on 30th April at local time 10 p.m. - on
1st May has been an official holiday, so your order has been shipped on the 1st
possible busniess day, which has been the 2nd May.

Normally shipping takes 3-6 business days.
Because of delays in the postal system it may sometimes take longer for an order
to arrive at your destination address.
Please contact us again if you don´t receive your order within the next 5
business days!

Please also check your shipping address (listed below) and contact us if your
address is incomplete or not correct.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, and please let us know if
you have any questions or concerns.

That email was received on May 10th. Today is May 12th and my modchip finally got here. It came sealed in a static free package with all the wires needed and even some solder. I didn't realize until after I ordered that this company wasn't U.S. based. It's in Monaco, inside/next to France. It's overseas shipping so any impatient people like me are going to have a problem waiting for something like this. I would order from them again. They kept their word about shipping it and even responded to my emails within hours. Overall they were extremely professional and the item came within or near the time they described. "I ordered from Modchip.com on April 12th. Only after ordering, did I even think to check on their reviews, duh! The more I researched and read, the more i scared the **** out of me.

Well, it turned out all ok!!! I recevied shipment confirmation the next day, April 13th and the email noted 4-6 BUSINESS days, can go as long as 8. Well I waited 4,5,6 weekend, then low and behold it arrived on Monday, April 23rd.

All is all, it was a smooth and successful transaction. One thing worth noting, which i didn't realize prior to ordering, is that the store is located in Europe. My delivery came from Monaco. Which could explain some shipping delays???

Would I order again??? Maybe not, just because they are located in Europe.

"I purchased the DMS4 EZI Pro SE.

Not sure exactly how so many people are dissatisfied with this site's service. I had a completely flawless transaction. My order arrived within the 8 day shipping that was quoted and I got everything in a properly packaged envelope. It would have been nice to receive the install directions with the shipment but those are available EVERYWHERE on the internet. I give http://www.modchip.com five stars for their service.

"Terrible shop. Ordered Xbox Live adaptors from their sister shop www.consoleshop.com in January and to date they still haven't shipped!

Initially was told that the order had shipped and they had problems with the package delivery company; then was told that the order was lost in transit.

Subsequently, they then said they were out of stock and that they would ship via UPS once available (which they said would be within a week). That was 3 weeks ago.

They still mention availability on their website for XBox Live adaptors and still nothing shipped for 2 months!!

Emails are answered after 3 days (if lucky). Worst online store EVER! Avoid like the plague! This online store should be blacklisted and the owners shut down.

"I ordered a mod chip on January 22. Shipping was confirmed on 23. As of today, still no delivery. I accused them of never sending any item and just lying to me. I had also already filed a fraud with the Better Business Bureau and told them about it. Today they wrote me an email back saying that they were going to refund my money, without asking me to send anything back. This confirms that they were planning on stealing my money, and had no intention of actually shipping the product."

"This company is horrible! They apparently make a habit out of scamming people. Wish I saw this site first! The "Express Mail" is not! the Mail's "Express" is a 1 day service... they use the trademark name and say that it is through the mail to try and make you think that you would receive the package over-night. Then a day later you receive an email telling you 3 to 6 days. Then like 10 days later and still no package! And after reading this site... this is apparently the norm with this company. I have emailed them with no response yet, and I am getting ready to file a fraud complaint with my credit card company. My advice is STAY AWAY from this company... there are many more out there."
