"Bought and R4 DS Card from them, and all works as they said it would. They threw in a free set of 3 DS Stylus as a mystery gift. Completely unexpected, and it was a nice surprise. Delivery time was about 12 days, but they did ship from out of the country, so I can't complain too much, as the package was sent the day after I ordered (I bought at 9pm on a Tues. and they shipped at 11am on Wed.)

Product works as advertised, and the extra stylus came in handy, and was not expected. Good service before I bought, as I had a lot of questions.

"I ordered an item from this store a while ago and it still reads "Pending" under my account on the website. They haven't shipped the item, give me a "pending" instead but they had no problem processing that money out of my credit card either. I advise anyone that is looking to purchase a mod chip to stay away from this store at all costs."

"Ordered discs from modchipnow.com on Dec,10 2005, waited two weeks for a 7 day order! Emailed about issue the said item had shipped on Dec 12 2005. Waited another week with a few emails, NO Response! Emailed an angry letter asking where it was and when i could get a refund, no reply for two days. POOOOR comunication. I have not yet received my discs or my refund. I have found that many other people in gaming forums have had similar issues. DO NOT USE THIS MERCHANT."

"Modchipnow never sent me any product, didnt reply to my mails for 3 weeks. After 2 months of emailing them and their merchant partner I finally gave up and got charges reversed by my credit card company. What a hassle! It wasnt worth all that trouble to get $60 back, but I didnt want them to get away with it.

Heed this lesson guys. Do not order anything from modchipnow unless you enjoy wasting your time and energy and getting nothing but stress in return. Very dodgy people/company. Stay clear.

"Jesus Christ. Ordered an HD Loader for PS2 two weeks ago, order went to processing, then nothing. Sent multiple e-mails, at first polite and then spiralling down into outright hostility, nothing. Finally got the phone number, called and asked wtf was going on, was told I would be e-mailed. Today I receive this:

'We have had a problem with the loaders sent to us.
They were damaged and had to be sent back. We are
waiting for replacement stock to arrive.'

That took .5 seconds to type, yet it took a hysterical call to customer service to get it. STAY AWAY!

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 22, 2005 -
Today finally managed to get the money refunded. VERY POOR SERVICE. The real reason I wanted to update is to give the customer service number, as it's the only way to get your money back from these yahoos.

"They are abosloutely the worst place i've ever dealt with. They are always saying they do not reply to e-mails due to e-mail problems, and have claimed that my swap magic discs i ordered nearly two months ago are in stock. Therefore the modchip I got with them, and luckily recieved 3 weeks after I ordered does not function. Never buy from this company, they are frauds and I want my product and my money back. They have no other contact than an e-mail so beware, you can note en report them to the BBB. Anyone interested in filing a suit against this company or taking action against them as well please contact me at ****@****, they must be stopped. "

"I bought hdloader advance from this store on the 22nd i recieved a payment and processing emails over the next 2 days, then nothing no shipping info i sent them 3 emails and nothing it is now the 6th of Feb and i found many of the same problems from them online from other buyers. There is no contact info for this store except a yahoo based email account. my advice is to stear clear of this store it is not legit.


Update: In the middle of May I finally recieved an update email from them stating that my order had shipped..... I got it a week later LOL, close to 4 months to recieve this... stay away from this company hopefully they will go out of business.

"I purchased a Swap Magic PAL cd set for my playstation 2 on the 22nd of October 2004 with my credit card being debited on the 28th of October 2004. I had 12 months previously ordered the same product with another company and it was shipped out and delivered to my address in Australia within 7 working days which I thought was pretty good service. With www.modchipnow.com it is now the 13th of January and I am yet to receive the goods, its sits in processing status. I have emailed the company multiple times regarding my purchase. The first excuse was they had problems with their email service...ok I can buy that. Then after another few weeks of nothing the next excuse was they do not have it in stock and a new version will to be arriving by weeks end and that was just before Christmas. Now we are well into January and still nothing.

Never again shall I deal with this company to say the service is poor is an understatement and better yet they take you payment and they do not have the product in stock.

"I have some complaints about ModChipNow service:

(Days after I cancelled the order and request a refund, they contacted me to inform me that the item was never shipped due an "suspect fraudulent order". (But, the charge to my credit card was not "suspected")


1) I placed the order, and instantly they charged to my card the price of the item and the shipping. I guess the order should be shipped in a couple of days, but I was wrong !!!

2) After 2 weeks and 3 unreplied e-mails the order still was in process status.

3) They never contacted me to solve the "suspect fraudulent order".

4) May be the company policy is to charge for the purchase and never ship the orders or at least not in the offered time. So when a customer decide to cancel the order and request a refund (caused by a poor customer service) their answer is that the order was never shipped due to an "FRAUDULENT ORDER"

This is a great way to stay out of the business !!!

"Ordered an Aladdin Advance XBOX modchip on Jan. 2. For a week my order status said "processing", however they wasted no time "processing" $41 from my bank account. After 3 weeks and 3 unreplied-to e-mails, I received a refund from their payment processor, mypaysystems.com after filing a complaint. modchipnow.com was down for about 4 days after this, and they're now back up. Their site hasn't been updated in over a month. They claim to be headquartered in Hong Kong, but a WHOIS lookup shows Nevada. Bottom line: it's a SCAM. SCAM SCAM SCAM."
