"AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

My whole experience with this company has been nothing but trouble.

I placed my order for some maternity clothes for my wife on December 8th. I received an e-mail confirming that my order had shipped on December 9th. That was the only thing about this transaction that has gone smoothly.

The first hitch came when I got my tracking information. It wasn't a number that I was use to seeing, i.e. a UPS tracking number. After poking around on their website, I discovered it was a Canadian tracking number. I e-mailed MTBF to see why it was shipped that way instead of UPS like I had requested and paid for. I received a reply that the item had shipped directly from the warehouse in Canada, I wasn't charged for shipping, and that they didn't use UPS to ship to the United States (I never received an explanation as to why they didn't use UPS).

One week goes by, nothing. Two weeks go by and still nothing. My package was last seen in a post office in Toronto on December 14th. I sent an e-mail on December 21st asking MTBF what to do. No response.

It was now December 23rd, and I still had no package. I called and spoke with the owner, Diana, and asked what, if anything, could be done about my package and if she would consider sending out replacements. She told me that there was nothing she could do, and that the method of shipping she used could take up to 14 days to arrive. I informed her that it was already the 14th day, and I still had nothing to show for it. She suggested I wait until that Thursday, the 26th, or even that Monday, the 31st, and then check back with her.

Needless to say, I was quite upset with all of this. The items were supposed to be Christmas presents, and it kind of defeats the purpose if they arrive after Christmas.

On December 27th, I sent MTBF an e-mail requesting that they cancel my order and refund my money as the items failed to arrive by Christmas. I received no response.

The package finally arrived on December 31st, 22 days after I placed my order. I had already given up on receiving the items and had purchased replacement items locally. I sent an e-mail to MTBF informing them that I would be returning the package to them ASAP. Again, no response.

I shipped the items Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation to the return address listed on their website on January 4th. Delivery was attempted on January 6th and a notice was left.

On January 15th, the package was still sitting in a post office in Minnesota, waiting to be picked up. I called MTBF to inquire why it hadn't picked up the package yet. This is where it gets interesting...MTBF is actually located in Canada and they only have a P.O. Box in Minnesota to facilitate easier returns. Diana, the owner, lives 60 miles away in Thunder Bay, ON, and only goes occasionally to check on the P.O. Box. When I talked to her, she said it was possible that no one had been to the box since January 6th, but she would check on it. She begrudgingly took my phone number and said she would call when she learned something.

Not hearing anything that day, I called back the next day to check and see what was going on. Diana answered and immediately became very hostile with me, reminding me again that she lived in Canada and that she would check on the package whenever she got a chance. She told me to stop calling her and just "let it be".

Its January 22nd, and she still hasn't picked up the package. I've been dealing with this problem for 44 days now, and there's no resolution in sight. So avoid this merchant at all costs, or end up being sorry like me.
