Criminals and theives

"I pre-ordered a kit in October of 2022. Was tired of waiting, in February of 2023 found it elsewhere. I cancelled the pre-order the next day, yet these thieves went ahead and shipped the kit in April - 2 months after I revoked any permission or authorization to use my credit card.

Based on all these prior comments, it seems this is how they operate. Unscrupulous and without any respect for a customer. These other compaints will be useful for the credit card company to review.

The low life who emailed me comes across as a stereotypical, greasy piece of trash. He's rude and a wise @$$.

If you enjoy getting raped....

"then buy from this guy. This is nothing but a middleman that increases prices and shoves it deep in you know where. Read their return policies. They state they are responsible for nothing, whether you receive your item or not, you are screwed. If you want to return it, you are screwed there also. They will charge you a restocking fee. You get screwed on shipping, you get screwed on pre-orders. Long story short, they will screw you. Do a little research and but direct from the manufacturer or anyone else."

Horrible Customer Service, Shipping and policies! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM CROOKS!

"I have been a prior customer of Monsters in Motion and even subscribe to their product newsletter. I purchased a few items this year for the Christmas gift giving season. My biggest item never arrived (no explanation to why) and the smaller items arrived 3 days after Christmas. I wrote the customer service and the agent was conveniently out the first day, I called and the two days later an agent replied to my email with a RUDE, OBNOXIOUS reply. The company makes sure they cover their own agenda/assets by some BS excuse about ordering specific items and their shipping speed. If you want to purchase items for someone as a gift... do not use Monsters in Motion. They are a rip off company that ROBS your money and provides service that is POOR and inexcusable, DISGUSTING HORRIBLE PEOPLE....."

Bad communication

"Never contacted me directly to my email about having problems with my credit card would have fix right away.
Saying we did try to contact you by using PayPal what has PayPal got do with this? All I am dealing with is hypocrites that didn't want to sell the item to me in the first place. The emails were never sent in first place because you wanted some else to have the item that is a fact.
I will never shop with company again very poor customer service

Absolutely superb products and service

"If at all possible, I order my models exclusively from Monsters in Motion. Products are exactly as described. Response to email or phone questions is prompt and courteous. They contacted me for one order noting a different shipping address and wanted to confirm it. I see some reviews that make no sense to me at all i.e. "avoid this place like the plague". On the contrary, I make this my first choice. You should as well."

Paint Sets

"I just received 2 paint sets I ordered thru this company. Everything went as promised. I was a bit uneasy after I put my order in. I read the previous reviews and thought I made a mistake but I was wrong. Their policy states it takes 24 to 48 hours for your order to go thru their data banks which mine did. I was then notified thru an email that my order had shipped thru the USPS system and was given a tracking number. I received my order 2 to 3 days after this which is the exact shipping service I paid for, 3-day priority service. My paints arrived in excellent condition. I believe I will be ordering from this company again when the time comes for refills."

Faithful for Two Decades and Counting!!!

"Monsters in Motion continues to be outstanding in every way, even after two decades! Not only do they have a unique product line to choose from, this company is the ONLY ONE I know which will allow any order to sit without being cancelled if the product fits into the category that the product has been drastically delayed due to unforeseeable problems (on the supply side caused by the vendor in probably 99.9% of such instances!) - which sometimes are absolutely ridiculous! Some of the vendors are great artists, designers, electronic experts, and so on, but NOT business people after all! But in the case of the kinds of particular kinds of products being sold, I have yet be to be disappointed with what was ultimately delivered!

They specialize in rare merchandise, difficult to get merchandise, and in more than a few cases, one-of-a kind items! They even provide a build up service for those without time to do a perosnal "build" of one of their kits. My most recent order, placed three days ago is for something that is now no longer being offered by the vendor who manufactured it! After receiving this news of the "discontinuance" from one of my sources, I went on to the Monsters in Motion site and found it straight away!

One final mention, if you experience some kind of difficulty with anything in your purchasing process, just call them on the published number and leave them a message. They actually do call their customers back and I've always found them to be understanding and proactively helplful! This company deserves mention for being outstanding, not any of the ridiculous comments you may read elsewhere.

Avoid like the plague

"My god avoid this company like the plague!
I ordered in item back in January and it still hasnt arrived due to their incompetence! Not only did it never reach me, but it was damaged on the way, then returned due to their spelling mistake in the destination and then they tried to let me pay for the 2nd transport and the repair of the item! UNBELIEVABLE!
Their customer service tends to ignore you after the 2nd email so that you just give up on them! WOW GIVE UP ON A 300 DOLLAR ITEM! REALLY? REALLY?
This company is nearly criminal in their customer management and i want to warn everybody about them. Avoid like the plague.
This company **** on their paying customers.
Be smart, dont order. Its not worth it.
Believe me, i know.

Avoid At All Cost

"I attempted to order two items online and a month after being billed for one item, I was finally able to get it shipped. Five more attempts to contact them about the second item went without a response. This company will not respond to email, answer their phone or return a call. Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced."

"I have bought several items from MIM and have found it a pleasant experience. I would add that their customer service does seem overwhelmed and confused often, but I have always received my merchandise on time and in good condition. It would be good if more expensive items came with free shipping like other stores like this often do."
