"Needed to ship 2 cars. I had to get them out of the house where they were Montway like all the other shippers are third party parasites. They lock you in take your credit card then communication is cut off. Your car will be picked up in 1-4 days maybe. They have no control over anything. They get whatever driver bids on your shipment. The guy could be horrible or great. Car shipping is total CRAP no matter who you use. It’s one step above leaving the keys in your car with a post it note saying please drive to Atlanta, GA. "

The driver that picked up our car was amazing and really worked with us. We were having friends catch the car on the other end and he was very accommodating. No damage and the overall process was about as easy as it could have been."

"I worked with the buyer of my car to arrange with Montway enclosed transport of my vintage car from Florida to California. We started the process 3 weeks before the first pickup date and agreed to a significant upcharge for "guaranteed pickup date" service. Once we were within 1 week of pickup I started to check each day with Montway on status. They were always "working" on assigning a carrier. The first day of the pickup window arrived with no carrier assigned. At that point both buyer and seller canceled with Montway and another broker was able to give us a choice of 2 carriers at less cost for next day pickup. Avoid Monway unless you want poor execution and suspense."
"I really not happy writing this review. I hate having to complain but I just can't go on without speaking out. I constantly had to call them. I had to call them to request my initial payment / quote. I had to call them to get a receipt of proof that my car was picked up. I had to call them every other day to know when my vehicle was going to be dropped. They did stipulate that delays would occur, but they never told me. I had to call them to find out the delays.
Another problem I had was the whole cash payment to the driver. Nobody told me that when I first handed my credit card to them. I'm sure it's somewhere in the fine print but it would of been good to know from the beginning becuase I didn't find out about the cash until the driver was demanding cash hours before the delievery. Which was another head ache. The driver was on the east coast and called me at 4pm demanding cash. I had to get my father to rush to a bank before they closed to get out $1,350.00. It wouldn't have been no problem if I knew about all this before hand but that's what makes Montway so frustrating. No communication. I had to be the one to call them every time. I called them about the driver demanding cash. The driver would take no other option. So my family had to scramble to meet the demands of this driver. I called Montway about the cash problem but the person on the line had no options.
The driver they had from a 3rd party company was not very professional. He slammed my car in the back of another customers car. He never handed me anything which he was suppose to for the proof of the pickup. He just left. I had to constantly give him an address for drop off. The location was a massive church parking lot. (1110 Pennsylvania Ave, Apalachin, NY 13732) Here's the address if you want to look yourself. The driver was very mad at me cause he couldn't make that turn. Then he hung up on me. My dad had to help him back in. That's not a professional driver.
I could go on and on about this experience but i'm honestly tired of thinking about this company. Do not recommend "

Hired Montway to transport 5 vehicles from CA to FL, pick up date 1/18 or 1/19 delivery dates of 1/27-1/29. Cars picked up on 1/18. On 1/21 in Texas truck caught on fire. 2 cars completely destroyed. Other 3 appear to have no fire damage. Carrier was towed to a yard.
Insurance came out states cars need to be taken to shop for soot and smoke damage but they can’t tow them there ( keys destroyed in fire) because have paid limits on drivers policy for towing and that’s been maxed out.
Montway states they have responsibilities in getting my cars delivered pointing fingers to driver.
We can’t pick up cars ourselves since they sit on the carrier which is not our property per the tow yard. Need drivers permission who won’t give it to us . If had given to us there was no tow bill due.
Driver states he will borrow truck and deliver cars on 3/10. 3/10 comes still no cars , no response from driver. Now there’s also a tow bill.
Montway claims that they monitor the whole process from pick to delivery, and they will be no speed bumps. And that if the drivers insurance doesn’t fully cover a claim theirs will.
They refused to give me their insurance information so a claim can be filed to have the cars taken to a shop for further that is needed and the driver insurance has failed to cover.
they don’t care that I have been 7 weeks without 5 cars. The 2 that were destroyed still have not been paid out by insurance. 1 car that is stuck is a work van so we have been losing a ton of work because of it. All they want to do is point the finger. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!.
They don’t cover a thing if something happens to your car as they claim . they don’t care that you never get you vehicles!!!"
