Poor communication and demanded more money for shipping after I ordered my part

"I ordered a part for a Jeep and when I checked out, the shipping was less than $20, which is why I ordered from this company. Over a week later there was no update on the status of my order. I finally emailed and asked what the hold up was, the next day I got a call from their customer service dept stating "they were trying to get in touch with me". They did no such thing. I didn't have any missed calls nor emails in spam. They called because I emailed. While speaking with the rep, she said that she had to charge me another $62 to ship my part. WHAT?? I told her I wasn't paying anything more because of their mistake. I was livid, so I hung up and called back later. The rep again told me I owed money for shipping. I needed the part so I expressed my frustration and agreed to a lesser amount (which I shouldn't have). Then it took forever for the part to be shipped to me because UPS wouldn't deliver to a post office and the website wouldn't allow me to ship it to my house...which is literally 1/2 mile on the same road as the post office. Horrible experience all around. Not impressed in the least."

The worst customer service of my life

"I was told I couldn't do the order on Credit Card (it was a high-dollar amount), but PayPal was ok. After I had placed the order online via PayPal, I was told it would have to be wire transfer. When I told them I had been told PayPal was ok, I was told they'd check with a manager. When I didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks I went online to cancel (any time you call this place you're lucky if you're on hold for less than a half hour, or if they answer at all instead of letting it ring), and I ordered the parts from Quadratec (a bit more expensive, but worth it! Their customer service is amazing).

A full month after I had gotten an email confirming the order cancellation, I got several voicemails from this place. I called back, waited on hold, and finally got through; and was told they had spoken to me 2 days previous and gotten authorization to charge my credit card. I asked them what credit card (since I had paid through PayPal so they shouldn't have my credit card) and a charming "manager" named Jessica informed me it was the full credit card number (wouldn't tell me any of the numbers) and that someone had called them claiming to be me. I told her I hadn't spoken to anyone, I thought the order had been cancelled, and that they shouldn't have my credit card number. And I asked her to please cancel the order. She must have been having a bad day because she straight up YELLED at me, and told me she was not cancelling the order but instead would put it through a review because I had clearly called in and given my credit card number for an order that was not cancelled, and that I must be crazy or lying if I was saying they shouldn't have my credit card number.

So I called my credit card company and issued a fraud alert, and I have also submitted a report on PayPal. I am SO much happier with my experience with Quadratec, and will gladly order from them going forward and never even CONSIDER Mopar Parts Inc again.

UPDATE: I looked more closely at one of the emails from this place, and it appears that they mixed up my order with someone else's. They changed the billing address to Peachtree City, GA (I'm from Upstate NY), so it looks like the "credit card" number they have on file is someone from Georgia's, and they charged my additional shipping to her card. So when Jessica spoke to me like I was crazy/stupid when I told her I hadn't spoken to anyone a few days ago, she was thinking of someone else entirely. But that poor woman's credit card info has now been compromised. I hope whoever she is in Peachtree City GA gets her $200 refunded, and that they figure out what order she HAD been calling about!
