"Looking for a replacement for my worn-out 3-season, waterproof jacket, I decided on the Tour Master Jett Series 2 jacket based on (1) Tour Master reputation and (2) features of the jacket.

After searching the web for user comments, speaking with staff @ MotorcycleGear and measuring myself to match against the Tour Master sizing chart, with some trepidation I ordered a size small (I'm 5'8", 187#). Sale was effortlessly completed via PayPay.

When the shipment arrived promptly I tried the jacket on and became concerned about the fit. I found the waist and belly tighter than other (Belstaff and Hein Gericke) waist-length jackets I have owned even at largest adjustment, the shoulders felt like they 'balooned' and the sleeves appeared to be too short.

As soon as I could, I went for a 1 hour ride (BMW 1150RT) in 85-degree Massachusetts weather and found the fit was right on with the zip-out quilted liner removed.

In retrospect, I think I would have ordered the next size up (medium) for a bit more room as I ride early and late in the year with the addition of a heated liner. I am more comfortable in a looser fit than the exact fit that the sizing chart provides. This sizing issue is the risk that is taken ordering without trying on a garment.

Time will tell how waterproof the garment is.

Summary, jacket features should provide the protection that I am looking for, the price was right and service was prompt.
