"Ditto... I have had the same problem as others. I ordered boots worth 250 euros and specified that they needed to be delivered by a certain date or to contact me and I would give them another address. I confirmed this by both the on line phone support and email. Needless to say they only dispatched them after I had said I would have left the first address, and then refused to send them to me in Australia (even at my cost) and basically said I had forfeited the money, even though I had proof from German customs that they had returned the boots to sender (in the USA - not in Jersey where the company says it is from). I contacted Jersey Consumer Affairs who said they have received numerous complaints about Mountainblack.com, and that the address on their web site belongs to a hotel/pub who does not know who they are, and the phone number on their website is a personal number of someone who does not know them either and now refers all calls to Consumer Affairs. Sounds like they do this regularly. Still no money... wish I knew a good hacker who could bring down their web site!"

"I ordered a pair of boots from Mountainblack, I noticed i had accidently ordered the wrong ones.so I then canceled the order.

First of they have an insane cancelation fee of 25% which is unheard of from webshops. But then on top of that they charged me 60€ more than what it said on the receit. And even though I kept asking them why they took 60€ more than they should have had they wont answer to why they did that. I still have not gotten those money back.

I would recommend everyone to stay away from mountainblack.

"I've ordered a jacket at MountainBlack because the where the only shop having it online. Was a bit suprised when I saw that the credit card was not charged in € but in US$ (M/B pretends to be sited in London) and the exchange rate was pretty much away from the actual one.
After ten days the jacked was still not shipped. Different emails went forth and back but to the actual questions M/B did not reply but cancelled the order. I've suggested to cancel the order as a service to me as customer at NO FEE but they have charged me 25% of the amount. At the end it looks like I'll have a loss of €200.

"Initially, I was very happy with the service of this company; they responded quickly to e-mails and their live-chat function is amazing. I ordered a jacket and paid extra for insured shipping with tracking number. That's when the problems started.

The tracking number never arrived, not even after repeated e-mails asking for it. They initially showed that they had the jacket in stock but it still took a month before it arrived. When it arrived it proved to be the wrong jacket. Instead of an orange insulated winter jacket they shipped me a black rain-jacket. I tried to contact Mountainblack.com to no avail. I tried four different phone numbers, two different e-mails addresses and their live-chat. Their live-chat stopped working from that day on, but only from my home address. It would not surprise me if they had blocked my ip-address, since it did work from the local Starbucks.

So after the initial easy contact it was now utterly impossible to contact them. The only time I was contacted by them was after I had contested the payment through my Credit-card company. The reply I got through my bank, however, was from a different person, under a different company-name.

I would recommend to avoid this company like the plaque.
