"Received tracking number the day after I ordered and the shipment arrived 2 days after that. Item as described. Couldn't be happier.
They do have the following policy: "items on sale for 30% or more can only be exchanged or returned for store credit." And according to them, most everything in their store is 30% or more off, so basically no refunds."
"Poor customer service! I purchased a pair of shoes about 3 weeks ago. Once I got them, I wore them around the house to get used to them, but quickly noticed that there was a small defect (tongue tearing away). I immediately called customer service and they said that I could return them, but they could not commit to a warranty replacement until they saw them. Ok, that makes sense. I did notice that they still had the same shoe in my size in stock and asked if they could make sure they hold one for a couple days for my replacement. They said they could not hold any, but said they had several in stock and there should be no problem. This was Monday afternoon. I immediately went to the post office and shipped them out 'priority' so they would get them soon (OR to AL took 3 days). I received a call from Mountain High this morning (Thursday) and the rep said the received the shoes and confirmed that it was clearly a warranty issue, but unfortunately they were now out of stock in that shoe and would have to send it back to the manufacturer for a replacement. This would take up to 5 weeks. This is ridiculous. She said the only other option would be for them to mail these shoes back to me so that I could send it directly to the manufacturer myself. Really! Although I wouldn't have been interested, she didn't even offer me another color of the same shoe that they did have in stock.
I will never do business with them again. I am surprised with the number of good outdoor stores out there that these guys can stay in business."
"Bought a Patagonia jacket. It was too big for me, had to return. Could not get cash back but store credit since the item was more then 30% off. Customer service was rude. She hung up on me once and even told me " have a good life" at the end of the conversation. All I needed to know was how to use my credit in the futur for online order. Placed an order later, had to canceled because there was non of the items ( I ordered 2 items ) in stock!!!!. Frustrated as heck!. Would never want to do business with them again ( seems like they don't even want to do business with me either ) but still have credits there, what do you do!!!."
"I'm writing to relate my positive experience because I didn't read these reviews until after I'd already ordered something and, frankly, I got a little freaked out by what was said here. Fortunately (though I can only speak for myself), I have nothing but good things to say about this seller.
I placed my order on a Sunday, got 2 separate confirmations the following day (order confirmation and then shipping), they gave me a UPS tracking number, and my jacket arrived today (Thursday) around midday. I really couldn't ask for much more. Shipping was free, the item was as described and it was an incredible deal.
Again, these guys might generally be hit or miss for all I know, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents and say that, at least in my case, they were just about perfect."
"I ordered a product 2nd day air and did not receive it on time. I asked for a refund but their excuse was that their policy states that it could take up to two days to process the order before it ships. They didn't even take into consideration that the item took 3 days to get to me from the time it shipped which has nothing to do with their policy.
UPDATE. I got a response and they are going to refund the shipping."
"Read all the reviews and still didn't listen. I wish I had. Took it upon myself to locate the item in one of their stores, asked for it to be held for my order, talked to the online order guys and told them what store was holding the item and still they couldn't get it right. Charged my credit card and sent me an email confirming they had it and it would be shipped 12/13. Next day the item disappeared because I got 5 emails telling me sorry, so sorry that item is not in stock. Sorry we can't credit your credit card so call us...and on and on. Be smarter than me and don't ever order ANYTHING from these people.They have successfully ruined my Christmas. I hope they are happy!"
"DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! I ordered an item from this website 6 days before Christmas and received a confirmation e-mail back that the the order was accepted. The item I had purchased was very difficult to find so I was very excited to know I would be receiving it on time. The item was due to arrive the day before Christmas. On the Wednesday of that same week I went on line to check the status of the order to find that there was no tracking number and it made me a little nervous so I called the company. The company sent me an e-mail about 2 hours after the call and said they had cancelled my order because the item was out of stock (this was 3 days after the order had been placed and confirmed). I called them back and the internet manager, Harvey, said there was nothing he could do. He said they were just busy and didn't find out about my order until this morning. When asked if he could give me a different jacket at the same price, he refused.
I am only writing this review of Mountain High Outfitters so that other people do not have to go through the same frustration and disappointment that I have endured. It is not good business or customer service to treat people in this way. I hope this helps. – 12/23/2009"
"Poor customer service. I saw an Icebreaker top on their website. I called to make sure that they had it and they told me that they did. I immediately placed an order and got a confirmation. The next day I got an email saying that they are out of stock!!!!! What else could I have done to make sure that this order went smoothly?!?!?!?! Boo. "
"They take your order, then cancel it because they don't have the items in stock. This happened twice to me. They just cancel it, no suggestions of similar items they DO have in stock. so you find one, order it and then wait a few days to find your order is canceled. and repeat. Or go take your business elsewhere."
"Recently I ordered 2 Suunto T3 watches and 3 T1 watches. I received T3 in 2 weeks but the box already opened and watches had been turned on. These were gifts and I could not give to people like this so I sent back and asked for refund. They gave me the return no. for UPS but I had to paid for it! They refund me the money for T3 but never refund me the return shipping cost. And now, almost 1 month after I ordered, I still did not receive my T1!!

Now it has been 5 weeks since I made this order, I still have not received the T1 watches. I emailed this company 2 times for refund, and no answer at all. I will keep email them until I get the refund. And then I will never ever doing business with this company again!!"
