"I have ordered several times over the past 10 years from mountain mods. They have always shipped items quickly and adequately. Never once received any damaged products. Products were always very high quality. One time I received a wrong part. A simple email and was shipped out the correct part the same day. A+ rating. Will continue to purchase from them."

"HORRIBLE packaging, they literally pulled the fans out of the box and wrapped them in plastic and cardboard and crammed it into an overstuffed USPS envelope that just about burst when I got it. Yes, they were too cheap to ship the fan boxes, and to use a box to ship the whole order. There was also a manufacturing defect in the other part I ordered where a part was bent out and wobbling in my drive bay, but when I asked about it and attached a photo, they told me to screw it in tighter and to just deal with it. What the heck? Will NEVER order again. This company is the epitome of cheap and their packaging practices and "deal with it" attitude is the worst. I am considering filing a payment dispute with paypal and/or my credit card company over their defective product and packaging."

"Placed an order for an Ascension Anodized black and 4 Hard Drive racks around 7am.
They packed and shipped by 1pm.
Paid for 4 day Fedex and surprised to see it scheduled for delivery on Saturday.

Received case Saturday which was double boxed with 3" fill space on both sides.
Looks like they used saran wrap/shrink wrap for the misc parts and layers of cardboard between panels.
Looks like everything is correct just didn't come with instructions.

Found out there was a problem with my case 2 weeks ago when I started my build they sent me a replacement part using Fedex Ground after I paid a deposit, which I expect to see refunded around the 20th whenever they receive the messed up part.

I do recommend buying extra screws as they only provide a what is said in their online instruction manual.
Possibly different on/off and reset switches as the ones provided use a screw down method to attach the wires.

"Have some minor issues with the hardware provided for putting the case together. Not enough B standoffs, some nuts missing and not enough screws. After a couple emails they are sending me out the needed parts.

Great case design, could use a couple more options like USB ports, upgrade/color selection of the case switchs/LED's. Also some more detailed shots of the actual case configurations would make it easier to choose the one you want.

A couple items that would really add to the package if offered as options would be PCI plate covers that were vented and matching the finish of the case and a 2.5" HD mounting option to go along with the 3.5" they have now. Because if you can shell out $500 on a case you are probably using SSD's like me."

I called them and they quickly changed the order plus upgraded my shipping at my request. Great customer service! "I had been looking for a case that would be able to take a multi-loop water cooling system with large radiators, that would also offer expandability. After touring the offerings I ran across Mountain Mods and never looked back.

I chose the Extended Ascension in black anodized finish and the Horizon motherboard mount. All I can say is 'Wow!'.

The box is roomy, well built and offers all the customization you could want. The frame is solid and sturdy while not weighing enough to pull muscles moving it, and the included casters make sure you rarely have to lift it anyway. You get enough room for tons of equipment and still have enough room to actually *work* on the equipment, plus hide cabling any lighting desired.

The unit came well packed and damage free and although I did run into a minor shipping snafu (missing mounting brackets), it allows me to say that Mountain Mods support and handling of the situation was exemplary. There is absolutely no need to worry about being hung out to dry with this company's products.

The only con most folks will run into is price, but by God the price is well worth the beast that you get. I will most certainly shop here again for additional parts.

"I had looked at these cases for quite a while and decided to plurge and buy the U2-UFO model in white powder coat and with the EATX motherboard tray. The shipping time wasn't unduly long and the case was well manufactured, with no problems being encountered while putting the case together. I had no problems installing all of my watercooling gear in the case or mounting the radiators, but did run into some problems with getting my video card to fit into their motherboard tray properly. I was able to get it mounted properly after taking a knife and carefully shaving the paint out of the slots that the video card tails slip into when mounting it. The case is a dream to work with and I really appreciate the construction quality.

However, I do have a few things I want to ding both the case and also support on. On the case side, I find that for the amount of money spent on this case it is a shame that they don't include either a case speaker or a couple of front mount USB ports. In fact, they don't even offer a panel with front mount USB ports on their website or an option for them on the front panel built into the front panel. And I find it totally ridiculous that they don't include a simple case speaker with a case that costs well over $300 and they also don't even offer a case speaker as an option to buy on their website. Not even one of those cheap little mini speakers that are mounted on the plug that connects the mini speaker to the mobo that I've seen included with $30 tin can cases. But overall it was a positive buying experience with Mountain Mods.

And that brings up the support side, which in my case was pretty good until the last time I tried to have communications with them. During the buying phase I had excellent service from Mountain Mods both by telephone and by email. But after I had bought the case and found that it didn't include the case speaker, I emailed them asking if they knew of a place that sold them. I never got any answer back from on this issue. No communication at all. It's like they didn't want to help out their customer after they had made a sale. Overall, a rather mixed bag, communication-wise for me."

"Purchased a U2-UFO Horizon Black Powder Coat - Original Top Case back in December 2007. Excellent, Highest Quality product. Never will there be a better case. I love the horizontal orientation of the motherboard, water cooling is a snap. Friends who stop by for a drink are always blown away when they see the case. If you want the best case you can buy for the money, THIS IS IT!!!!!!
A little more money than some of the other top of the line cases out there, but you really do get your moneys worth with a MM Case.

"Where do I begin...

It has been an absolute joy to have stumbled across BEN and the little computer case manufacturing company affectionately known as Mountain Mods...

I frequent a forum called Xtremesystems.org, one day low and behold, a fellow member had posted a google sketchup drawing of a new case he was planning to purchase. From that moment on, I knew I had become a Mountain Modder for life...

Myself along with approximately 9 others, placed our orders with BEN at roughly the same time and the process began. BEN is a wonderful person to deal with. He is very accomidating to your wants and needs. He has done nothing but gain my long time loyalty, when it comes to computer cases and watercooling goods.

I did have a slight problem when I received my case, the laser which cuts out the holes in the aluminum sheets, apparently nudged against my rear panel. That caused the panel to become misaligned on the cutting table, therefore the mounting holes were misaligned for assembly. Upon noticing this problem while assembling my case, I immediately paniced. The next morning I called BEN and informed him of my problem, sent him pictures of the issue via e-mail, he told me not to worry it was clearly a problem caused by the metal working shop and he would make it right. He send me a new panel via 2-3 day mail along with an RMA for the damaged panel. What more could you ask of a e-tailer, than to admit the unfortunate mistake and then make things right. A big bonus in todays world.

As for the case I bought. It's simply jawdropping. BEN's anodized finish is quite simply the best in the industry. All the panels fit together seamlessly. What is the most interesting aspect of the Mountain Mods case is the weight vs strength. It is feather light, but I challenge you to try and bend it once it's assembled. The edges are rolled with jogs for a better fit. Did I mention it's modular, therefore you have the possibility for future upgrades.

Whoever is reading this review, that is borderline on buying a Mountain Mods case or not. Buy it, I promise you won't regret it.

"Quick response to my emails, fast shipping, well packaged. The case arrived in a near perfect condition, although it had to travel around half the world, and it is great (excellent design, everything fits perfectly together).

However, product descriptions could be better (more pictures, list of accessories) and I think I paid too much for shipping because the case was already assembled (not really the fault of Mountain Mods, though).

"I Ordered a U2-UFO CYO on july 3rd I sent Mountain Mods an E-Mail asking them if they could assemble the case for Me and also put in fans and filters they sent Me back a E-Mail, that said the case would cost $50.00 and if I got the fans from them they would do that for $25.00 I did not mined the price as I am disabled and never know how i will feel also hands are weak and did not want to drop parts. So I sent them a E-Mail and told them that would be great, and I would call them to talk over Ideas they may have on what fans ECT. would look good and cool best because who would know better than them. So I call in the afternoon like I said I would in the E-Mail and the guy on the phone tells Me My case has been sent out. I have heard so many good things about there customer service. I feel like they just did not want to do it. I sure wish they would of said so now I get to look at a Box of Parts. the guy on the phone tells Me it is only 14 bolts or whatever that is not the point. I am not Mad just disappointed very! well like I told them what id done is done. I hope they listen to the next person that tells them they need Help. I feel like when I am walking with two canes going into a store and I know the person that is walking in before Me Sees me but lets the door go anyway before I can get My arm into the door. Thank You MM I see that Lain Li has a box case that is CYO alsoand they will add water cooling for $600-$700 I would of beem close to that Myself if they had done there job. and one more thing I found funny there was no name of the person who sent the E-Mail to Me good way to denie a E-Mail if You do not have a name. "Ordered a UFO Duality case last month and several accessories.

Customer support was always courteous and helpful in answering my questions, and the product was well packed - there was a ~30 degree bend on one of the corner braces of the front panel that I fixed myself but I think this was a pre-packing fault.

The only other problem with the order was with an LED mistake on a case fan (I ordered 4 purple 80mm case fans, I got 3 purple 1 red heh ;) but it wasn't worth the trouble to return, and I'm sure based on my other contacts with MM, that I could have had it replaced if I wanted.

Would not hesitate to use again in the future, and I highly recommend their cases!"
