MPB only lags behind in expediency.
Adorama gets your used item to you much quicker. But if they don't have the item you are looking for - in the Condition you want - and MPB does, then that's the way to go, if you have the extended time it takes for it to arrive.
Quality is great though.
Returning of an item (that was not correct) there was "no grief" about taking it back... but once again - the process was slow.

"My first order, for a lens, went great, I was delighted enough to place an order for a camera body. And that order was a disaster. I had a trip upcoming and paid for expedited shipping to get the order to me two days before I left. You know where this is headed right? Now I have to leave without it. I talked to FedEx about what went wrong and why it was delayed, they told me they didn't receive the package in time, that MPB created the label and just let the package sit there for a few days, hence the delay. That's not exactly expedited on MPB's part. Nor is it good service. But here's the kicker: the day after I ordered the camera body from them, I ordered a flash from Adorama and chose free, non expedited shipping. Guess what showed up before I left? Yes, the flash, with free shipping ordered a day later beat an order from MPB placed with expedited shipping. So lesson learned, there's a reason companies like Adorama dominate the industry, they simply get the job done. Would I recommend MPB or order from them again? Maybe. I'll admit the first transaction was stellar. But now we're 50/50, and that's a bad average. They do have good prices and good equipment. But if there's anything critical, you need trustworthy shipping by a particular, I would not recommend them."

"I went with MPB over KEH originally because of better pricing on a not-so important lens and they exceeded my expectations. The order processing was quick and the lens arrived in packaging that showed great care was taken (even though it was less than $100). The lens was listed in "excellent" condition but I could not find any defects, so it was more "like new." So, I did not hesitate to order another, more expensive lens and again, my expectations were exceeded. I would definitely order from them again and recommend them to others. "
