Priority Overnight Shipping, Backorders, an Unlikely Villain, and the Wrong Color: A story of monetary bamboozlery for weeks to come

"One day but a collection of moons ago, I placed an order with MugenPower for their Nintendo 3DSXL battery extender. The exact reason for my ordering from their website being my SNES edition 3DSXL was grey, and the only way to get the grey case with their battery was through them. If I went through Amazon, I'd have to get the case in my matching color for another 15 dollars. How little I knew then..

The order was placed January 17th, 2018. My money left my account swiftly by next sunrise, and I opted for Express Overnight as my interests in an expanded battery were expedient. Alas, the battery was still unrecieved by the 22nd. This is when I opened communications to establish a search party; whether for my funds or the battery, it mattered little to me.

Trechary! Deceit! They'd emailed me back on the 18th about a backorder delay! GMail believed it spam and obfuscated it from my vision! Accursed electronic mailing client, if but for a single but noteworthy instant. My interest appeased, I awaited my package no later than the 26th. Upon the 25th it arrived, to complete lack of fanfare from my UPS store. I elected to visit later next week, and came home that day eager to increase my device's lifespan.

FALLACIES! FALLACIES AND FABRICATIONS! The battery inside, snug and ready for charging, nestled in the bosom of a BLACK CASE. I initially granted credit; I journeyed to the account I made to their website and observed my ordered color, and a single but resolute Grey stared back at me. I elected further credit and observed the paper within my package dictating the contents, an additional and further resolute Grey stared back at me. I observed the box itself, denoting several stickers indicating Black. Foul behavior afoot, I returned to the recently-whipped GMail to expose their plot to apply to me an inappropriate color as per my specifications.

Silence. Like a deep dark abyss, a void of wordless staring continues as they have refused response to my damnations and hexes. Money would have been saved ordering from Amazon and buying the grey case separate, as things came to be. A simple request to the humble reader of this review; Order not from this company, lest your finances be dragged away to the pits of capitalistic debauchery, your porches and suites aching for deliverance, your results and byproducts varying greatly.

"I ordered the following:

Mugen Power 6250mAh Extended Battery for New Nintendo 3DS XL / New Nintendo 3DS LL with Battery Door
Battery Cover

SKU#: HLI-N3DSLLXL

Price: $89.50

The above product was ordered on August 23, 2015. However after a month, I realized that the product had not shipped.

For the first 3 months, I inquired about the status of the product through their sales/support e-mail lines. I inquired about this once a month. The sales/support people were quite responsive at first, saying that the product won't ship due to a "Manufacturer Challenge", that the shipment is delayed for a month, and that if I wanted a refund they would process it immediately. I decided to wait it out, perhaps the product was back-ordered.

But after 3 months, they stopped responding. I asked for a refund, but got no response back. Till the day of this posting, the issue has NOT been resolved.

Although they have somewhat of a positive track record, buyers beware! Doing my research, this company (Mugen Power) has done this at times to other customers. If you're ordering from https://mugen.co , there is a risk that the product you paid for may not reach you with no refund.

"Buyer BEWARE,
Mugen got my money (2) two weeks ago, paid extra for priority shipping, and still am getting the run around from Mugen. Can't review a battery if they (Mugen) ships empty boxes, and I don't receive the battery I paid for (2) two weeks ago. Jan from their sales department keeps blowing smoke up my bottom side and will get back to me when she knows something.
FedEx can let me know in (1) one phone that they received an empty box. Can't she call and get an answer from them the same as I did or was she hoping I would just go away.
Be careful in dealing with them, it looks like others have had luck with them or are their employees writing the reviews?

"I've had a nightmare dealing with Mugen. I ordered a battery on October 8 that was supposed to ship on October 25. Now it's nearly Christmas and they still haven't sent it. Furthermore, they won't refund my money. They say it's not possible with their systems.

EDIT: Product finally sent out via fast post. It has arrived while I'm out of town but I guess we'll see it when we get back...

"Bought the 5400mAh for my galaxy note and though i havent finished cycling its power for 5 times im glad i did buy it. Striaght out it has amazing batter life and i say its worth all the price (at under 100USD). The added bulk and weight feels nice in my hands, where some say this is bad, i say it makes it feel sturdy and i dont get the feeling i will snap the thing at any given momment. They even offer free shipping on some days! and Express shipping is quite cheap. (though the difference in arrival times is only 4 days as ive bought more then once from them)

Do buy from this quality seller, their batteries and services are the real deal, ive even gotten door replacements for free and they respond quite quickly and upto 8pm GMT+10. Suscribe to their newsletter and like their facebook for added discounts and such!

They have my full support and on going commitment to always buy mugen for my batteries!

"Free shipping and it wasn't slow. Good price on a well made replacement battery. The last (non-Mugen) replacement battery I bought for my Nokia was clearly low quality. Not so the Mugen, and it has a higher capacity that the original. Very happy with my purchase. "
