"Lots of strange issues with my order, listed below.
-First off, double charged for my order on Nov 2--I saw this and immediately and contacted MFA to check this out.
-Gaby Felten emailed be back, and was helpful. She stated she would send out my order, and cancel the one mistakenly placed (by their website--it doesn't work very well in Firefox FYI).
-A few weeks later I still had yet to recieve my order, and contacted Gaby Felten.
-She responded that it had been "lost" in the mix, and that they were now out of stock of the item (they were in stock for a couple of weeks as far as I could tell... why they never even attempted to send me one or even two shirts I have no idea).
-She then offered to send me a smaller size sweatshirt, along with a shirt, some buttons and stickers for my inconvenience (nearly a month later).
-I told her that the smaller sweatshirt would not fit, but the refund would be fine. Any other free items would be fine by me, as I was charged originally, and would like some kind of compensation for the time my money was spent with them.
-She responded that the shirt would be instead of the sweatshirt, despite nomenclature stating the previous. Ah well, so I assured her that yes, a refund would like to be had.
-Refunded on Dec 4th.
Don't get me wrong, I love Music for America the organization. But their online store is very very poorly managed. At the time, they were using a Paypal system for payment, with no other options. This is fine, but the way they have it set up, it appears like they don't know what orders have gone through and what hasn't. Unfortunate for such a great organization.
Until they fix these issues, I would stick to donating time and money rather then trying to fund their organization through purchasing of goods in their online, "un-store" (conveniently named)."
