"BUYER BEWARE: I am a licensed GC home builder in Santa Monica, and this scam company (myknobs and emtek) sent me fhe wrong lockset, wrong finish, and refuses to accept responsibility. Their customer service is extremely rude and unhelpful, and the hardware they sell is absolute junk. Dont waste your money, you will be dissapointed in the end. You will have better luck online with Home Depot, or Amazon, or through a more reputable seller like schlage, or kwikset. "MyKnobs is a drop shipper, something I discovered after placing my order. While being a drop shipper is acceptable, a company must take responsibility for the products they sell, especially if their supplier fails to fulfill the order correctly.
I ordered a $364 Emtek handleset with a "Right Handle" configuration. Instead, they sent me a "Left Handle" configuration. This is problematic because I have double doors, and the "Left Handle" configuration prevents the other door from opening.
Despite clear evidence that I received the incorrect handle, MyKnobs only offered a return if I covered the shipping costs and paid a 25% restocking fee. They placed the blame on Emtek, refusing to assist further.
To rectify their error, I'd have to pay over $100. Regardless of whether Emtek is at fault, I made my purchase with MyKnobs, and they should uphold their responsibility to their customers."

TERRIBLE RETURN POLICY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE......STAY AWAY!!!!! bought 1000 bucks worth of door hardware color from the pictures on line versus what we received were wayyyy off we ordered dark brown and received brass. They are rude, incompetent and only serve as an intermediary between customers and products, All costs for are pushed to the customer, shipping, return shipping and restocking fees. It takes days to get a response. I will NEVER order from this company again.
The return authorization was incorrect, after I waited days for it, then called, and was told they notated my account but would not provide me with a confirmation or proof, so I will send in my items with no proof in hopes they will credit me (deducting the restocking fee) correctly."

When I call to ask about it, I spoke to Alex and she was not very pleasant. Basically she told me that it is my fault I have not received my refund because I did not call them back with a tracking number. This does not make much sense to me seeing how I had to put a number on the return box so they can track it when it arrives at the warehouse. "Terrible customer service! They take your money but don't send you your purchase. I purchased outlet covers and light switch covers 6 weeks before my move so I could place them onto the needed areas before heavy furniture would be moved in. I repeatedly called, only to be told someone would call me back. No one ever returned my call. Now it's 1 day before my move and the order still shows as just being processed, even though I was told upper management would have the items overnighted to me. Save yourself the grief and frustration and buy your items somewhere else!"
"I was happy to see Myknobs had the items I was looking for. I ordered and waited and waited and waited. I reached out and was unable to ever get through by phone. Finally received a message my product was being processed and would be shipped in 24-48 hours. So I waited and waited and waited. a week later I finally got through on the chat feature and was told my product was discontinued and unavailable. Bottom line is they stock nothing but take orders for everything then finally say they cant get it. Poor business process. I won't ever use them again......"

"Ordered cabinet knobs from myknobs.com and received the merchandise. Shipping was a little slow and when I opened the package, the knobs were not as pictured. I called myknobs.com and they said I would have to wait about a week to receive an email from them authorizing me to return the product.
When I finally did receive the email, they charge a fee for opened knobs. I opened 2 packages to check the knobs. They reserve the right not to issue credit on opened items. You send the merchandise back to myknobs.com (PAID BY YOU). Then you need to email a notification of your shipment to myknobs.com. Then you wait for the manufacturer to notify myknobs.com that they accept your return, if they do. Then my knobs.com will issue a credit, (they make no claim as to what the return amount will be). You are responsible for any restocking fee, return shipping fee, and opened package fees.
I called to talk to a rep about this and could hardly understand the person. He was not willing to offer any help. It sounded like I was calling India. I could hardly understand a word he said and the service was AWFUL. They basically do not care about the defective merchandise they sell.
I will never buy from my knobs.com again!!"
"My complaint is the same as many others. When I ordered online, the company (site) clearly showed that my items were in stock and ready to ship. It is now a week since I placed the order and they haven't shipped yet. I contacted the customer service rep and they said that my items were back ordered and would not ship for two or three weeks. This is not a company that I will use again for any type of hardware items. Look elsewhere."
