"I have been using this site for years to purchase fonts without problem but during a recent re-branding, we chose a font that did not render properly in print after download, while the webfont we tested prior to purchase rendered perfectly. I let them know with 24 hours asking for a credit to purchase a different font. They responded about a week later asking if the issue persisted if I converted documents to a PDF, which it did. I responded immediately and waiting another week without response. I followed up two more times before they responded saying I hadn't answered their question. I again forwarded my response that the issue continued even using a PDF. Again no answer and two follow ups later (and 45 days from the original purchase!) I just received another response saying I haven't answered their question about the PDF. I plan to file a credit card claim against this company if this isn't resolved in a week and will never do business with them again and hope you will not either. "

"Their website is very professional and comprehensive, lots of neat tools, information is clear, ordering process is smooth, easy download links for fonts, all in all very sophisticated. And their Help Desk is reachable by email. BUT their refund policy is awful.

I had a font installed on my computer that I wanted to use in a logo. I googled the font and ended up on a font page on Myfonts.com. I read the license FAQ for the font and it said I needed to buy a license. So I bought the license and downloaded the font only to discover minutes later that while the font had an identical name as the font on my computer (100% identical); surprisingly it was not the same font and not the font I needed a license for. Somehow two font designers named their font identically.

So I sent MyFonts.com an email explaining what happened asking for a refund. They told me that they don't normally offer refunds, but in my case they would make an exception and offered me store credit but not a refund. They said that if I paid attention to the preview of the font I should have noticed it was a different font. While that is true, I believe it is not unreasonable to assume that a font name is unique and that if I see them selling a license for XYZ.ttf it's the same XYZ.ttf that I want to buy a license for. I feel they are at least somewhat to blame for the confusion that comes from selling a font with the same name as another font that already exists.

After 3 or 4 polite yet compelling emails I was able to finally get an agreement to refund my credit card. A license being an intangible (no restocking or inventory legwork) I felt it should have been easier to get an immediate refund given the circumstances however in the end they did the right thing (though it took some convincing) so I have to give them credit for that. I just feel that that they went to great lengths to avoid the refund in the beginning which seemed greedy but I guess they are just wary of abuse. Be careful when it comes to ordering fonts make sure you pay attention to the font preview and then you should have a very pleasant experience with them."
