"Returned merchandise for a refund after they sent me wrong matts. Nearly one month later, still have not been refunded. Stop doing business with these crooks."
"I will NEVER again buy from them nor have any association with the name NAPA. I purchased an alternator online paid shipping. When it came time for my mechanic to install it was NOT what I ordered nor did it fit my car. I call CS and all I was offered was a refund when they received it back. What about my time wasted and EXTRA expenses in relation to labor per hour etc? Who is supposed to box it up label it and go to UPS. They offer a free shipping lane to be emailed in 3 days without getting my name address or email address. I had to ask her to confirm it. No discount no coupon no immediate free replacement and wait until I definitely send the useless alternator back. No drop it off at my nearest NAPA store. Completely useless low class business practices and customer service. Stay away from them "
"I did an online order with a 30 minute instore pickup on 2/8/2023, after getting my email acknowledgement of my order it showed Estimated Pickup date 2/13/2023! WHAT!
Today, 2/13/2023 I called the store in which my order was supposed to be picked up at and they don't have the parts and they don't know where they are at and obviously don't know when I'll get them.
Originally, I looked up the parts late at night. All the parts showed if I ordered them within the next 2 hours I could pick them up the next day at the 'online store' I was visiting.
DON'T BELIEVE THEIR WEBSITE!
How does NAPA even try to do business 'online' with that kind of system. What a waste of time and effort."
"Ordered things. They never bothered sending them or letting me know they weren't sending them. Terrible customer support. Terrible service."
"Ordered a radiator fan motor on May 19, 2022 from NAPA online, two days later, I received an email stating that my order is delayed. No expected ship date or any details on why my order is delayed. The payment, of course, was taken from my account. The napa hotline phone number is driven by menu choices only and will ultimately direct you back to napa online where, again, you will just see order delayed. It's now been two weeks and still hasn't shipped, I will never do business with this company again !!!"
"Bought master cylinder featured on website clearly marked USA, and got a cheap Chinese one delivered.
It was an overprice unlabeled products that usually sells (at other outlets) for half the money NAPA charges.
Worse "Customer Service" (after 2 weeks) Would NOT call me back for return."
"Think you are buying something online? Nope, you're not. You are ORDERING something, but good luck getting it. get it. Ordered tire cleaner, not a truck engine or touch-up paint for my mint green 1963 Pontiac tempest, just some tire cleaner. Site said I was going to get it by May 3rd. Had I known two weeks later, I would still have nothing, I wouldn't have bothered ordering. Don't waste your time here. No communication about when your stuff will actually ship. Even when you reach out to support (Which at least they replied) they lie and say oh yeah, your item is ready for shipping. OK. THEN SHIP IT! 6 days after being told that my item STILL hasn't shipped. Don't shop here. Shop literally anywhere else. While I wait for my order to be shipped, I guess I'll go around to every review site I can find and let everyone in the world know NOT to buy here if you expect your items to be shipped in a reasonable amount of time. Don't shop in their stores either. Never been, but if they can't even get online orders right, I'm not going to step foot in a physical store of there's and I would suggest you don't either. "
"Summary: First time buying online, NAPA can't do anything right and should not even bother doing online sales.
The Details: I had only 1 experience ordering from NAPA and it was already a nightmare. I order 5 items (2 of them being glass cleaners). The next business day, it immediately cancelled 1 of the 5 items. Few days later, 3 of the 5 items were shipped in 2 different overly large boxes with very little "packing material" inside. That's right, folks! NAPA will ship you items, regardless who fragile or damage it may come, and let them bounce around during shipping. 1 of the 2 glass cleaners leaked. Fortunately, not much has spilled.
On the last item (another glass cleaner), they shipped it in a bubble envelope. Right again, folks! Someone is dumb enough to think it was a good ideal to ship a plastic bottle full of fluid in a bubble envelope. When I received the package, the envelop was already damaged with the item inside it missing."
"Bought rotors wanted to pick up in store accidently sent to my home tried to cancel 3min after hit paid button once I discovered mistake they would not cancel once order was complete tried to return to sender ups sent it back to me they told me to return to a store no store would except online purchases finally they sent me a return label and refunded my money minus 10 dollars. This is why Amazon is dominating the market they make returns easy and do 2day delivery
"
"Ordered a break pad and rotor kid that was supposed to be delivered a week ago. Tried using the chat function on the website but they said to contact the customer support email. Contacted customer support through email and they told me to contact customer support by calling their phone number.
Called customer support and they said that my order was being cancelled because their fulfillment centers can't ship kits? Was never notified of this and nothing on their website says anything like this.
I'm an eCommerce professional with 10 years of experience behind me. This is complete incompetence. For a $250k consulting fee I'll fix these problems for you. eCommerce is not difficult if you have the right tools and team. This is the worst online ordering experience I've ever been through.
Order from somewhere else until NAPA gets their sh*t together. "
"I bought set of best adaptive pads and rebuilt calipers plus all hardware. Severely disappointed when 12,000 miles later they fell apart unbinding from backing plate.destroying the rotors and causing loss of brakes and ability to stop safely. Very hazardous to make such lousy parts for a need safety feature and these are their best most expensive pads .$75 a set ,pair. I want to warm people of hazard and that napa does not stand good for their life time warantee when contacted they could care less. I fixed at for replaced defective pads and had to replace rotors they destroyed. Expensive $400 per axle."
"Missing shipments, incompetent customer service. It took 6 phone calls + stopping by a store in person (who were just as incompetent) just to return a product I bought online. Ended up having to mail it back.
Go elsewhere!"
"Bought a battery that according to the website has a 24 month warranty. Took it back to the store and Lo and behold, the thing was only warrantied for 3 months. Overheard the staff at Alamogordo, NM store saying that this happened all the time. NAPA is off the shopping list."
"I have been a mechanic for many years. I used to buy Napa Auto Parts almost always. I felt the parts were good quality, although more expensive than others. It does not pay to install poor quality parts on a car, they come back, and bite you! Unfortunately, a few years ago it seems Napa changed their policy on quality. This happened around the time they totally changed the on-line site. Around the same time, I started looking at Rock Auto on-line. Rock Auto offers each part by a few different manufacturers, quality levels, and prices. I started noticing that despite Napa still charging higher prices, they were now supplying the cheapest, lowest quality parts instead of the better quality they were known for. Given that, why would a person order from Napa, when Rock Auto is surprisingly lower priced, and you have a quality level choice . Napa seems to be riding on their previous well known name, while keeping the prices artificially high.
Some prime examples of this is, I purchased a starter solenoid, (eckland, Napa's electrical brand), as a preventative measure. The third start-up, after installing, the solenoid froze in the on position, with key off, and kept the starter spinning and engaged until I could unhook one battery terminal. Burned up the relay, starter, and a couple wires. I purchased a rebuilt alternator, took it from the box, and turned it, it felt rough turning, as if there was dirt in the bearing race or defective bearing components. I purchased Napa's best fuel pump, and it was very noisy from day one. I purchased a set of Napa Branded, 2 ton each, jack stands. One of them had a defective casting that would not allow the stop to lock in place. Although it seemed it locked, when weight was applied, it fell. I purchased rebuilt Ford Front calipers from Napa, and with in one year, the unplated soft steel bleeder screws has rusted solid to the caliper! I heard from a NAPA rep, and he said due to competition, quality had to suffer, BUT WAIT, isn’t quality the whole point. Especialy when still charging the higher quality prices. "
"I have ATTEMPTED to purchase common parts at this store but the entire business is so dimly lit that I learned to bring my flashlight after my first visit.
Filthy dirty shelves that are empty, and have spiders on them. Just plain GROSS !! The end result has NEVER been good, He never has any common parts I need. Always full of excuses like "I'm supposed to stock this bearing, but since NAPA is changing suppliers I don't carry it on hand". 12 volt coil for a '73 chevy 454 excuse, " I sometimes stock this but have not re-ordered stock in awhile, so I can order it and have it in 2 days". NAPA PLEASE CLOSE THIS STORE AND SAVE US ALL !!"
