"Take a look at another fiasco by Napster, a company clearly run by a bunch of lying idiots: http://www.facebook.com/Napster?v=wall&story_fbid=136577406367357
They said "everyone" will win a Creative Zen MP3 player. Many people followed the instructions and fulfilled the required steps. Now they're saying that only 4500 people will get an MP3 player and the rest will get their useless credit/code. And, what's worse is they're now telling people that there was a cut off date of 2:08 p.m. PDT and it was never anywhere in their original promotional offer text.
May you go out of business again, stupid Napster!"
"I purchased X & Y by Coldplay from Best Buy. It advertised a "free song" from Coldplay as an exclusive. I downloaded the client. To continue with the installation I was forced to provide a credit card and I was told if I didn't cancel it, I would be charged for a monthly service (which I did not want). I entered the provided promo code only to find that the song did not exist on Napster. I contacted customer support and they provided me with another promo code to get the "free" song. I then tried to cancel my account but each of the 4 times I tried I got a mysterious "500" error.
So overall I was extremely unimpressed with what is probably a comedy of errors but came across as a bait and switch to get me to pay for a monthly service I did not want."
