"I placed an Order mid October, their website saying shipment 7-10. 2 weeks into it I called hoping that I would have them by the 31st. Costumer service said it was in production and that they where running behind on orders. And that I should receive my order 1st week of Nov. Well one event that i know I wouldn't have pens. Starting the 3rd week of Nov. contacted costumer service again they email production and they said they where out of stock. Still open invoice (so I thought). After thinking about it know event number 2 just a few days away. I decided to cancel my order. To find out that my order had already been canceled due to out of stock and discontinued. Why did they send me a flier with these pen if discontinued, And why did I have to contact them why couldn't they contacted me to let me know. Because of this I will not do business with National Pens "
"I placed an order here for custom pens & got an e-mail conformation confirming my order. 2 weeks later, nothing so I e-mailed them asking where my pens are and they told me that they are going to have to cancel my order because they were apparently out of stock (even though they are still being sold on the website currently) and waited until I asked them about the order 2 weeks later to tell me they were out of stock and still being sold on the website. Not good business practices."

"Very poor customer service. They take forever to respond to email, and many times did not EVER respond. The same is true for returning phone calls.
I wish I could tell you about the quality of the product I ordered. However, I placed my order nearly two months ago, and I'm still waiting for the pens that I ordered.
Why is it taking so long? Hmm. I have no idea because they do not return calls or emails."
"Ordered 5,000 pens initially on February 2, they are just now shipping more than 8 weeks later (March 27). Had issues with their credit card processing (three times) and major communication issues for the company to me about not being able to see attachment of our logo, and the fact that the pens I ordered were out of stock. " Before ordering customized pens online from National Pens I searched for Reviews because I was worried by some of their Terms and Conditions of the 'contract' that a purchase by you creates. I will not be ordering from them because I Do Not want to give away all rights to what I order to have imprinted on my pens.
If a person ordered through the mail they would not have access to these terms and conditions, which I find appalling. It should be illegal for National Pen to impose these terms and conditions to mail orders when the information is not provided to customers in the mailed promos. And I don't like that they are imposing them in the first place. Why would anyone order from them is beyond me.

"WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are a bait and switch service. On November 18, I ordered what I thought were high quality ice scrapers for my real estate business. Two weeks went by and I called and was told they were in processing. Another two weeks went by and I was told they would check on the order and return my call. No one returned my call. THEN, YESTERDAY, 10 DAYS BEFORE THE HOLIDAY MY ICE SCRAPERS COME. THIS COMPANY SUBSTITUTED A 10" HEAVY ICE SCRAPER FOR A 6" PIECE OF GARBAGE!! They were so cheap and flimsy I thought I would faint. When I called the company they said and I quote "we ran out of what you ordered and substituted these". No phone call, no questions asked, nothing. I spoke to quite a few people who simply apologized and offered to have them picked up. I ordered these a month ago. Any reputable company would call the client and explain the situation in time for me to order something else for my clients. But NO, they just sent me garbage and expected I would keep them. I have called Dave Thompson the CEO and left a message but of course I received no return call. As I said before, if you want quality product you need to go elsewhere. This company is not reputable and should feel the brunt of their poor decisions. "

They have made errors in the past and we have overlooked them because they simply were not willing to take responsibility but not any more. They made errors that I could prove were their fault and they still were not willing to take any responsibility. "I placed my order online for promotional pens for my company. The pens are very nice - high quality, but BEWARE the exorbitant shipping/handling charges! They don't show up on your online order, but they do show up on your invoice after your order is delivered, when it's too late to cancel your order. I called customer service to complain and they said they couldn't do anything about this. I love the pens, but I resent them hiding the high shipping fees. I would not do business with them again because of this."
"Amazing service with this company. I put in a rather confusing request where I wanted Asian characters to appear beside my name on a set consisting of a mechanical pencil and a pen (I ordered the "Paragon Pen and Pencil Gift Set"). A company representative e-mailed me for clarification and I approved it. It arrived EXACTLY how I wanted it; they even had my name in all lowercase letters as I asked. When you receive an e-mail for confirmation, it shows you an artist conception of what will be printed on the pen/pencil.
I also applied a promotion code that removed the shipping cost and the set-up fees, so I spent $58. They sent me an incorrect bill afterwards despite me receiving an invoice with the $58. I simply showed them the first invoice, and it was corrected.
My only warning is that the pens/pencils arrived 21 days after I ordered them. However, such times should be permissible given the amount of customization required.
I'm using this same review on other websites just to add variety to the mix and to anyone curious about pens.com"

"I ordered mechanical pencils mid-november to give as Christmas presents to my Customers. They advertise shipping in 7-10 business days. 3 weeks later they contact me by email to say that they are out of stock and wouldn't have any until mid-january. Why couldn't they contact me the day I ordered to tell me they were out of stock?!? It is now mid-december and too late to order somewhere else in time for Christmas. When trying to cancel this order I was given the run around by customer service. Finally got somebody to cancel it after 2 days of trying. What a joke. "
