"I wish I had read all the complaints this merchant had, because like most of you I just lost my money! It's been more than four months since I placed an order with Netmagazine and after many emails still no magazine. Stay away from this Merchant, this is a scam!!! "Ordered March 2006, never received, they supposedly resubmitted order Sept 2006, still haven't received. Customer service promised response in 5-7 business days, 2.5 weeks no response yet. I ordered and paid for a magazine subscription in July 2006 and it's still not here! I've contacted them several times and given them the date, PayPal confirmation number, etc. and every time they've told me there had been a problem processing the account. Mind you - this subscription was an anniversary present for my hubby ...
Finally, I cut to the chase and contacted the MAGAZINE I ordered's subscription department. Apparently, after you hound and hound and hound NetMagazines they finally give it up and place the order because the magazine responded that they'd received the order DECEMBER 8th (5 months and 1 day after I initially placed the order through NetMagazines) and that we will receive the first issue within the next 10 days.
Hmmmmm ... makes you wonder if there isn't some kind of scam going on - like NetMagazine is out there taking your money, promising the first delivery within 12-15 weeks hoping you'll forget you placed the order and maybe splitting the ill-gotten gains between itself and the magazine???
I dunno, but next time I'll just bite the bullet, search online for subscription coupons to use directly with the magazine, and pay for it that way.
Bottom line - avoid NetMagazines unless you've got more patience than most folks and really really really like nagging.

The customer service representative (Shelly S.), is so dumb that she asks the same questions over and over again. Example: What is last four digits of my credit card #. I replied back with the info. 4 days later she asks the same question. Can't she pull that info from my order # rather delaying the whole process for next a few days?
I did leave a complaint against them with both BBB.org and Attorney General of Washington Consumer Protection Division. I request all of you to do the same. Thank you

"I ordered a subscription from Netmagazines.com at a exceptionally good price in March, 2006. Four months later, the first issue hadn't arrived. I contacted customer service and they replied that the publisher withdrew the offer so the magazine is not available at that price, and said they would refund my money. Three months have gone by and I have not received the refund. I have e-mailed them twice about this and received no reply. I wish I had checked their Reseller.com rating before I ordered.
Update 10/21/2006: I made one last attempt to contact them via e-mail. I received a quick reply from a customer service rep who said she would research the issue and get back to me in 2-3 days. True to her word, she e-mailed me a few days later to apologize for the problems. She said a 3 year subscription was not availabe at that price but offer me a choice of a refund or a 1 year subscription. I chose the 1 year subscription. If the magazine actually shows up, I will consider myself reasonably satisfied since the price is actually pretty good for a 1 year subscription (even though the original offer was for 3 years at that price - but NetMagazines says the publisher withdrew the 3 year deal.)
