"I was looking for some specialty driver bits and happened to come across their website. I noticed the 103 piece tamper proof bit sets. The first picture has the closed bit set with driver symbols all around it. Upon reading the description, half of the drivers there were symbols for were not in the set. So I decided to contact them and report an error that the picture does not represent the contents of the set. I got a response next day that it would be forwarded to the appropriate person to have action taken. 5 months later I got another response that my contact was closed since I had not responded. I go check and the same picture is still there. I contacted them again and go back and forth with the Sales and Billing rep, I just can't get him to understand that the picture is a bait and switch. That picture does not represent what is in the set. He did not seem to care and was going to do nothing to correct the issue. The picture shows symbols for One Way, Supadriv, Pentagon, Double Hex, Frearson, Tri Groove, Xeno, Quadrex, and Britol bits. Why would you have those symbols for drivers if they are not in that set. You are relying on people to see that picture, order the set without reading the list of included pieces. If you want this set order the exact same set minus the 2 Line (gamebit) drivers and the wobble adapter at Harbor Freight for $8 100 piece security bit set."
"Rude customer support & shady online order processing and payment systems. No option to speak with a telephone. I wish I had read the online reviews before wasting my time with this company."
"I have been ordering products for almost 8 yrs now & its no secret that they may have had a rough patch during their first few years in business. There is one main point that I would like to bring up right away to anyone who decides to read this whole thing. Ive noticed that when ppl are happy satisfied with how things are going, & making money, theyre certainly not going to take their precious time to go out & write a company review about this company. Now if we look on the flip side of this, someone who is frustrated upset or even angry, maybe their package arrived late or they ordered something & broke it & their expecting a company to just take the item back & replace it for nothing or whatever by all means theyre going to go out of their way to get revenge if they can in some way. How would one person do that? Simple they attempt to put a dent in that companys business by writing bad reviews about the company name. Sounds fair enough anyways right?
I pretty much had my first order 8 yrs ago as I said. The only reason I even considered making that order is because they were the only handful of companies offering open market cable/satellite tools, Diversified Control cross reference cable tools & Channell StarLock SlamLock below $500 per tool. Back then there were no really bad reviews. Despite all the bad reviews & horror stories I read I still kept purchasing to keep my business going. Thinking I might be one of the lucky ones.
Like any customer, every purchase wasnt always roses & I could slowly see issues happening with them through their reviews that I read before making a new buy; & each time there was a subtle amount of doubt that I might be next. A few times the delivery company lost my package when I ordered with USPS. UPS has always been a bit more reliable around here. During those times, I certainly had my doubts. About 4 times I got into it with customer service about this & that & tempers flared. Some things couldnt just be ignored. They always spoke to me professionally & not in a demeaning manner, sometimes while we were going at it I didnt feel that way, but looking back I did say some pretty nasty things & they would always come back with some mind blowing fact that. Just made you think & then things would go on smoothly like any relationship.
While most would be mad at this kind of thing, I was actually surprised that I hadnt seen anything like this way earlier in my first 2 years with them. In the beginning I would contact them a great deal more than I would today & all of my questions are always answered in about 10 minutes to 6 hours. It doesnt take them 72 hours like they claim. I swear on my life, Im not lying about this. I always considered this always happened like it did because my approach is simple & straight forward I like to talk to ppl like humans not like they are my lapping dog.
When I contacted them about my first missing package to find out what the F! the deal was & why it was taking so long. I received what may have appeared like an auto reply or a cut & paste robotic reply but I never got the same cut/paste twice. I received a response in about 1 hour. Some of the replies may have sounded like machines or somebody out of the country; but I was assured my package would be at my door steps. And in a few days it was. They always showed me what they talked about if they needed to contact the delivery company & I could call the delivery company & see if they were lying. There was one time where I thought I got them because they placed a package in the system a day late but it turns out that happened because of daylight savings time. I thought to myself that this might really be one of the good guys. At least one of the best ones Ive dealt with.
I consider this to be a decent company or damn close to being more than fair in my book. There are mountains of proof that reflect this all over & I think there should be more ppl standing up for them & they deserve a better reputation. In my opinion this is a company that the others should fear. I believe that once more ppl catch on & realize what they have to offer others will follow. PPL are tired of fake guarantees because what good is a cheap product if you have to buy it again & again?
I am sorry to take up so much of your time if you have actually read this far. This company has well-earned this review from me 1 million Xs over & I hope ppl can see past all these bad reviews that I see online that are somewhat biased. A little dry humor as if mine might not read that way. I believe it will truly help someone who does want to know more about these ppl & how they perform business in this day & age from one of their real buyers. If an Administrator has to remove it no hard feelings.
Thank you for allowing me to post in this & if you read everything that I wrote above Im sure you can understand why this company deserves this review with all the hard hits they have taken on in the past. Thank you for reading!"
"I recieved a product from this company. It had terrible build quality, It was a 103 piece security bit set including bits like a Triwing which is popular among the retro gaming community for opening Nintendo Products. Several of the bits are so misshapen that they are not usable. I requested a warranty replacement, at least looking for a "Sorry its out of warranty" Instead I was called a liar, insulted several times by their sales rep, basically was called a "not upright person". Needless to say, I will not be receiving a replacement, and will never do business with this scam of a company ever again. Don't get ripped off by this "Company""
"When will I ever learn to check Resellerratings before ordering from someone? Sadly, in this case nobody else sells what I needed, but at least I'd have known what to expect.
I placed an order with NewElectronx.com, and it was a nightmare. And I haven't even received the item yet, so it could get worse. But what an amateur organization. They use a low level payment company (Moneybooker - rebranded recently as Skrill), won't take anything but Visa and Mastercard, and won't even allow you to ship to a location other than the billing address of the card. As a reseller, that requires me to have the item shipped to me, then I have to resend it to my customer. This doubles the time and shipping costs. All I can figure is that they don't ever expect to do business with anyone who doesn't live in their parents basement taking apart Gameboys. Any company over 5 employees is liable to have a centralized accounts payable address and multiple work locations. I'm just blown away by the bush league workings of this so called "company"."
""Caveat Emptor" applies to this company. In 55 years of working with vendors I have never encountered such arrogance in-your- face customer support.
I believe this is an off-shore company, no address or phone number on web site. The only way to communicate is via their email link. I do not believe the products they sent me were made in the USA contrary to the implication "Fine USA products" in their banner.
They use a CA based shipping company as the US base.
My negative experience: product received was not as advertized, handling charge not revealed at time of order and was excessive, $11 on 20 oz of items valued at $30. Shipping was displayed as $5.20, which was the actual postage. Delivery was very slow. Order placed 22 Dec. order filled Jan 4, shipped from post office 11 Jan, received 13 Jan. What happened between 22 Dec and 4 Jan is a mystery. Received no confirmation of order until 3 Jan. The ordering data on their computer does not reflect the 22 Dec date. Data base does not have "date ordered" field. They start counting from day they acknowledge order. Also a mystery where the package went from 4 Jan to 11 Jan.
If you order from them, do so with your eyes wide open. They throw the FBI, SOCA (UK agency) and USPS around in a manner intended to intimate. They've watched to many cops and robbers movies.
Chase MasterCard called to verify a transaction through MoneyBookers, their international credit transaction provided. It raised a security flag with Chase.
24 hours after they used my CC number, 2 fraudulent transactions occurred in CA, requiring cancelling the card. Coincidence?? Unrelated?
There return policy is the crux of the matter: quote: "Customer agrees to be responsible for all shipping costs / postage (initial purchase shipping and handling, return shipping and handling, exchange shipping and handling, etc.)." Even when they make the error and send you something that is different from the advertized product. In my case a $3.50 T wrench that was supposed to be magnetic but was not. I choose not to spend another $3 to return the item so they could look at it and decide if it conformed or not.
In this case they hid behind their return policy and were obstinate in trying to resolve this even though they made the mistake or were guilty of false advertizing. Their business model is clearly "Atypical", they had no intent of making me happy. They told me in so many words, if I was unhappy, take my business elsewhere.
Some of the language and word choices in their business documents suggest a non-western background.
They are rated F by the Los Angles BBB."
"Do NOT buy a GPS from this company. The tabs to attach to the mount broke immediately. In order to replace I had to ship back the old part and pay shipping for a new one. At first I thought the unit was pretty good, but it quit working completely after less than 6 months! This was the worst birthday present I ever gave my husband. Please don't waste your money on this item."
"a wonderful company. very helpful. replies quick when you bug them through customer support, and best of all ships everything quickly. my stuff arrived two days after ordering. their overall awesomeness has gained them a very happy and returning customer!"
"BUYER BEWARE!!!
This is a horrible place to buy anything. First of all, the item I purchased was horribly misrepresented on the site and it was advertised as having capabilities it did not have. When I wanted to return the item they wanted to charge me a 25% restock fee.
When I refused to pay this, they became very much impossible to work with and wouldn't communicate with me or answer my questions as to why the product is described incorrectly on their site.
I eventually had to file a claim with my credit card and they told me that they had reported me to the FBI and local police for credit card fraud. They eventually refunded the money, but it's obvious that their business model is built upon selling bad product and then making 25% on restocking fees or by scaring people into doing nothing.
These guys are CROOKS!"
"Just to warn anyone to is about to buy a GPS from newelectronx, This company has no value except for your money and deliver a defective product which will fix it " NOT EXCHANGE" afterward but after you pay for shipping both ways, and once you receive it you will find missing parts with the purpose of fixing it. Just try to complain " by the way there is no one to complain" and you will be accused of being rude. This company in my opinion is a one man "KID" show. Check their status with the BBB. My advice is to stay away from it because you might be paying less from the beginning, however; it will cost you more later on and you will not have the GPS that you paid for it at the end. STAY AWAY. I will post a full detail transaction to just proof what i said. Please post this to any web site that help someone avoid this company. By the way, there is no telephone number that you can talk to anyone, nor and address. I did find out his later. I made a mistake that I don't want anybody else to do."
"This company takes a very long time to deliver their products... I ordered two items on the 25 of July... I received an email saying that my order was being processed that day. Five days later my received another email say that my order was 'in packing'... two days after that I finally got a tracking number... and even though I paid for first class USPS... it still took five more days before my order came to my house. Everything was correct but just took way to long. "
"Bad Experience. Product did not work as represented even though it was bought on their recommendation. They have lots of disclaimers absolving them of any responsibility for their recommendations or products and charge a 25% restocking fee for returns. They threaten to contact “local authorities” if you dispute the charge with PayPal or your credit card company. Strongly suggest that these people be avoided.
"
"Buyer BEWARE. Very unpleasant and costly experience. Avoid at all costs!"
"Buyer beware. I've purchased from them before about a year ago, everything worked fine and was great, their CS response was good. That was a year ago....this time I had a real bad bad and cold experience with the CS. Not only was it bad, they failed to help or even bother to resolve the problem. Shipping is decent, but no documentation was included, their CS would say - please visit the FAQ on their website. I would stay away from them, and this would definitely be my last purchase. I bought two items from them, it seems that they are incompatible and they admit it now but offer no exchange or refund, the best they can do is offer a refund with the 25% restocking fee. What a rip off!"
