"I gave them chances. They failed repeatedly. I would never again recommend NWV to anyone!
I placed an order with NWV for an item they said they had in stock. The next evening I received a call on my cell phone from their customer service saying that the item I wanted is not available for quite some time BUT they did have something else I could use and it was immediately available but at just a little higher price. Because I needed the adapter before Christmas, I ordered the generic adapter for more money. That same evening when I got back to my computer, I went online and I found the exact item I needed and ordered it from a different vendor with no problem, no additional cost. While online, I also looked up the alternative that NWV was so ready and willing to send me. When I did the comparison pricing, I discovered that NWV was almost four times the cost of what most other suppliers were selling it for. I immediately went to NWV's site and immediately cancelled the order. The very next morning, as soon as NWV opened I called NWV to confirm that the order was cancelled. I was told it was too late to cancel because they had already shipped the item. When I reminded them that the order was placed late that evening and could not possibly have been shipped out while they were closed, they said they would have to look into it. Believing that they did already ship the alternate as they said, I resigned to fact that I was going to get it anyhow. I sent numerous emails between myself and NWV's customer service asking them to at least match the much lower price of other vendors. They wanted me to prove that their price was so much higher before they would even consider it, so I sent them the links directly to the site page of three different suppliers listing the much lower price. Finally, NWV agreed to match the price, but however they discovered that miraculously the item had not been shipped yet as they said, and someone must have cancelled my order. Since NWV agreed to match the lower price, and I could find uses for their item, I asked customer service to order the item again. At this point all communication from NWV stopped. I finally gave up and assumed it was just a one time issue against NWV.
Previously I made the mistake of recommending NWV Direct to 2 of my friends because NWV did appear to have the greatest deals. Both of my friends had the same experience of having their orders confirmed by NWV with the next day phone call from NWV Direct telling them the same story that even though the item showed in their stock, it was not avaiable and they would have to wait weeks to get it OR conveniently, NWV again had something different that they could send right out at just a little higher price. Both friends refused and cancelled their orders.
I did want to give NWV another chance by ordering from them again. Again they took and confirmed my order and again contacted me back the next day with the same story, that even though the item I wanted showed that it was in their stock, it was not available and I would have to wait weeks to get it OR conveniently, they again had something different that they could send out right away. It is obvious to me that NWV Direct has mastered the infamous retail bait and switch routine. I will never use nor recommend NWV to anyone else ever again. I will however gladly warn anyone else who asks my opinion of NWVDirect that their company motto must be "Buyer-Be-Ware"!"
"Where do I begin? How about this...you get what you pay for. I cannot express how disgusted I am with this "company." I fell for the classic bait and switch technique that all of their staff must be trained in. I would imagine that 30 hours per week is dedicated just to train their employees how to scam the AMerican public. I was looking for a Nikon SB-600 flash and wanted to get it quickly and found NWV Direct through a Google search. The price of the flash was well below the competition and figured I might as well go for it. I received a phone call from Sal (if that is his real name) and he told me that he was sorry but the Nikon rep told them they are about 4-6 weeks on back order for this item. Funny how they didn't mention that on the website. He told me what he could do was sell me a Vivitar 383, which is much better than the Nikon SB-600. He would do it for the same price so I jumped on that and had them ship it to me. I received the flash, opened it, and felt immediately sick that the flash is no more than a $10 piece of plastic. I tried to get an RMA number from NWV but they told me that flashes are non-refundable (also something that Sal forgot to mention to me). I chalk it up to a lesson learned, but I would never recommend using this company unless you are looking for a cheap knock-off item as a gag gift.

What they fail to mention is that their "policy" basically is everything they sell is non-refundable. They should end their policy section with, "Sorry Sucker!!""
"I ordered the Nikon SB-600 after comparing prices on Google. NWV was far the least expensive, I placed my order and the very next day i got an email with a bait and switch move. Back ordered 4 to 6 weeks but Sal had a better offer for me. A Vivitar 008DF383N Super i-TTL (Guide No. 131'/40 m at 85mm) Digital Camera Power Zoom Flash For Nikon SLR- $30.00 more and said it was better than the SB600.
After hours of researching the model number I could not find anything on it. But I ordered it anyways giving NWV the benefit of the doubt.
I recived it today and its not looking good. This model number does not exist. I did some research with the name of the company and I find many people that have been taken by the same scam. I like to bargain shop and I'll take the risk. But this is a scam, it can happen to you. I already emailed them for an RA#.

"I ordered a CH-1010 universal AC power adapter, READERSD high speed SD memory card reader, and three BP-006CL high capactity additional batteries for a new Panasonic Lumix camera received at Christmas and everything was received 5 days later as advertised and the batteries had the best power rating to cost I could find, in fact all the prices great. NWV Direct (nwvdirect.com) is an excellent source.

"Thursday, December 4th, I ordered the Garmin Nuvi AC Charger/Adapter with International Adpater. Sal sent me an email stating he had been unable to reach me by phone (I had been home all day – no phone calls). He stated he didn’t have the product I ordered, but would substitute a different product for the same price (no international adapter). When I re-contacted Sal and told him that was not acceptable, and to please cancel the order, he stated the order was already shipped – so I should refuse it when it arrived. Obviously that was a lie, because NWVDirect sent me a shipping confirmation 12/9 (6 days later!). NWVDirect should have canceled the order December 4th, when I stated that the substituted charger was not acceptable, and requested that the order be canceled. Because they didn’t actually ship until 12/9, NWVDirect misrepresented the order status during the December 4th conversation. I filed a Paypal dispute, but because NWVDirect had a shipping confirmation, Paypal found in their favor! Upon receipt of the package, I took it unopened to the Post Office, marked refused – return to sender – on the box, just as Sal had instructed me to do. The charger I didn’t want was promptly returned to them the same day I received it. However, NWVDirect still has not refunded the $19.50 to my Paypal account – they have proven to me that they are a disreputable and unethical business. I advise anyone interested to do NO business with NWVDirect."
"Probably should have checked reseller ratings before purchasing, because this sounds like a broken record now. Bought a Canon wide screen lens (about $15 cheaper than elsewhere) and received a call a day later telling me it was out of stock for 6 weeks but they could sell me a much better (and coincidentally, more expensive) no-name lens.
Thankfully I told the rep I'd think about it, did some google searches, and quickly called back to cancel the order.
The one good thing I can say is they didn't give me any trouble re canceling (though I'll certainly be monitoring my CC statements to make sure). "
