Shipped wrong product...but took care of it quickly.

"I ordered a specific computer case on Thanksgiving Day; bad choice of timing on my part, methinks. The order went through fine, but when the case arrived it was not the correct product...totally different. I've done a lot of online business, and never had something that "big" happen...but then I have to remember it was Black Friday/Cyber Monday/WTF Tuesday etc. I decided to tackle it via chat support, and it actually was a pleasant experience with Mandy. I believe I'll have the correct case OK. Nice job."

"I have been buying my components from Newegg for years. On more than one occasion, I have been outside normal guidelines for whatever I needed. Sent Incorrect Items, Now Out of Stock and No Black Friday Discount!

"I ordered the Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8GB "Limited Edition" Part Number 100411NT+8GSEL on Black Friday. Received part number 110411NT+8GL. Photo on the Newegg item does not match the image on the box either. Item is now out of stock and has gone up in price. Returning for replacement or refund. I am probably going to be charged for the stupid Quake game I did not want too. I ordered three pairs of these. The 2nd order just came, also the wrong GPUs! Returning them now too. I am NOT HAPPY. Don't trust this seller. Bait and switch."

Mixed feelings

"Guy who helped me was nice and courteous but I am very unhappy with newegg . My order didn't ship out after 2 days from ordering and I paid for faster shipping as I needed item for a customer by a certain time. When I finally got through to someone (was 60 in queue for chat and 30 minute hold time on phone) They could not even tell me when my order would ship and when I request cancel they cannot even guarantee it will cancel for refund before it might ship or not ship. I needed to know so I could order another laptop from somewhere else who would get it to me in a timely manner, but newegg cannot even tell me if my order would cancel or not which seems very messed up to me "

Misadvertised rebate was honored!

"A GPU was advertised on sale with a bonus rebate. It was a good deal so I ordered it. After checking my email correspondence the next morning for rebate info I noticed there was none. Cross-referenced the info with EVGA’s website - the advertised rebate expired 2 weeks ago.

After contacting supporting and initially being told there was no rebate, they escalated the conversation without me explicitly asking (but fully understanding this was the correct action) and confirmed the rebate was mistakenly advertised. They offered to supply a Newegg gift card, but I didn’t feel this adequately matched the rebate, and, after spending well over $1000 here in the last month, I didn’t much have an immediate use for more tech.

Ultimately they have promised to refund $20 back to my credit card which is better than the advertised rebate. I’m glad we came to an agreement and they admitted to their mishap. I’m very satisfied with the outcome but wish it would’ve involved less up front disagreement and taken less time (~2 hours).
