"Patrick was 100% helpful. He helped out when I needed a fan and didn't hold anything back to help me. Newegg is the best for pc parts and I highly recommend them to anyone!"
"Newegg thus-far exceeds all expectations as an online electronic hardware retailer. After reaching out on an issue related to product pricing a representative named Doreen quickly replied and professionally resolved the problem. I could not be happier with the service I received. Aside from the fantastic customer service, all orders arrive on time and in excellent condition. The deals are unbeatable and service hassle-free. Very impressive value provided to consumers."
"They offer to ship to a Post office but then don't know how to do that properly, ie, putting the Post Office address as the shipping address without listing the customer's address. Which means the customer cannot pick up the package because the Post Office won't release the package without matching addresses. Customer service is useless as they don't know how to deal with this and then won't refund the customers money until they receive the package back which will take about a month. Other companies had this figured out years ago, my mistake to think Newegg.ca knew what they were doing, never again. "
"Love it so much I like how they have sale all the time and have lots choice for computer "
"The computer arrived, but it was missing the keyboard that was supposed to come with it. When I messaged support, they were incredibly unhelpful. They basically told me that they couldn't just send me the keyboard separately, and all they were willing to do was refund $30 off my total purchase price (which was over $2,000!) I'm sorry, but if it was THEIR screw up not shipping me the correct parts, then they should be OBLIGATED to send me the missing items. I definitely will never shop here again."
"I made a 2500$ purchase on Newegg.ca on the 21 of august and they said the package has been delivered on the 24 of august. Nothing was at my door this very day and no paper to tell me that the package has been sent back to the carrier facility. It's impossible for the carrier to prove me that the package has been left at my door since they do not take picture upon deliveries. I contacted Newegg for a replacement/refund and they refused my claim for a replacement/refund.
DO NOT EVER MAKE A PURCHASE ON NEWEGG. THEY WILL NOT SEND YOU WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!
They literally stole my money and a police investigation has been initiated."
"I could never get a refund for my 2000$ Xeon Gold CPU that they packaged badly (no box, no anti-static bag, only standard bubble wrap shipped in a bag... for a 2000$ CPU). After they received the CPU back through RMA, they told me it was damaged (I never saw these little marks in the corners) so they refused the refund. When trying to get through paypal's protection, they waited at the last minute to send the information, leaving me 5 days to prove that my CPU was indeed defective by having a professionnal inspection. I could not find a shop equipped for that specialised equipment so I ended up loosing 2000$. Very bad experience, I will never buy from newegg again."
"Shipping was delayed and the only thing they could offer me is a 10$ refund (on a 1400$ order). Also, their gaming computer company ABS computers is extremely bad, I had a very bad experience with them and asked for a refund after a month and a half of fighting, never buy from them if you want peace of mind (both newegg and their bad gaming PC company). "
"Someone used my bank debit card, I guess from this site. Not sure how they attempted several times, different amounts, finally got through and this company took$208.34 out of my bank. I have never ordered from this company, nor have not ever heard of them. They leave no phone number online. Fraud filed a claim, and are giving it back as soon as pending goes through bank. Investigation with Fraud Department. I got old bank card stopped. Now have new card, waiting for my money to go back in my bank."
"Ok, so I recently ordered an Asu Z390-I ITX motherboard from Newegg.ca and it was DOA (Dead On Arrival). The motherboard wouldn't boot when CPU power was connected. I called newegg and the phone rep told me they would send me a replacement ASAP and he created an RMA for me. Well, a few days later I get an email saying that they cannot replace it due to "Damaged CPU Pins" keep in mind that after it didn't work i took out the CPU and closely inspected the pins and all of them where fine. Now Newegg is Refusing my return and is costing me 350$ on a motherboard. Anyway, now i am waiting for my mobo to return so i can inspect the pins again and see if the tech purposely damaged them like multiple reddit posts reported have happened in the past"
"Awful customer service, delayed deliveries on top of delayed deliveries, and they lie about when you’ll get the product multiple times."
"Order was placed on March 29th. Choose the Express shipping (1-2 days) option. After more than a 6 business days, UPS (the carrier) contacted me because they weren't sure Newegg has actually provided them with the package.
Tried to contact Newegg customer service to ask what is the situation of the package and whether they could confirm that the package was provided to UPS. All they were able to provide me the general shipping information that are displayed on my order history.
Let me be clear, I know that shipping is complex during this time and I accept the fact that there might be delays. However, customer service should be able to respond to a demand from the delivery company and provide me a clear solution instead of letting me in limbo.
I'll follow up to see if anything evolves, but given my interaction with them, I think the faster option might be to dispute the charge to my credit card company."
"I requested a refund on some ram memory that I purchased and because it was a few days over there refund policy they refused a refund. It didnt matter to them that the items I purchased was not compatible with my computer. Very bad business ethics."
"Tried 3 times to place the same order , each time my account was suspended .
Very poor customer service.
Price of the item I was trying to purchase have changed before resolution of the problem so i will place an order elsewhere "
"A horrible experience with Newegg.ca
they refused to replace my newly purchased Gigabyte motherboard claiming that I have "bent the CPU socket pins" and that this was beyond warranty.
I have assembled many computers in the past and never had problems with CPU sockets. It's easy: You line up the 2 small protrusions on the socket with the 2 notches on the CPU, make sure the CPU lies nice and flat on the socket, and finally push the lever down gently and lock the CPU in place.
Upon returning the MoBo I did notice 2 pins bent (out of hundreds of them intact), but this could not have possibly been a result of mishandling since there would be a whole bunch bent; it was defective in the first place. I should have read their reviews before purchase!"
"I purchased a new Asus laptop for grad school. It had issues from day 1. I contacted NewEgg support who informed me that I cannot return the laptop because I don't have the original box. I had to send it into Asus for repair - which they replaced my motherboard.
Have it back for a couple of weeks and now I can't get it to turn on. Call Asus and have to send it back in. Contact NewEgg and can't return because it's out of 30-days. Plus I don't have the original box, plus I sent it in for repairs so that would void my ability to return it anyway (wow super helpful add).
Basically no one can help - except "great news", I can send it in for repairs through Asus. In the past 2 months, I've barely been able to use my brand new laptop for grad school.
I am extremely disappointed in NewEgg/Asus policies and will only buy macs from now on. While I know this is an exception (as my Software Architect boyfriend loves Asus and NewEgg), I can't believe this is a real situation where a company will not refund a completely defective computer. I am stuck with an unreliable brand new laptop.
Moral of the story - keep that stupid box
Real moral of the story (my version) - pay the 2x cost to buy another mac"
