"Patrick was 100% helpful. He helped out when I needed a fan and didn't hold anything back to help me. Newegg is the best for pc parts and I highly recommend them to anyone!"
"UPDATE: Newegg redeems themselves. I didn't get the TV that i initially wanted, but Newegg offered a comparable tv for a reasonable price. Shipping was very fast. CS was always helpful. I'm happy. i could give them a 4/5, but i think they deserve a bit better.
We found a great deal for an awesome TV on December 22, 2012. it was for an LG 42inch 42LM5800 LED tv for $480.25 all in. within 10 minutes of ordering my mastercard was charged and the status went from processing to packaging.
Amazing i thought! I had the perfect Christmas gift for my brother.
I then called Newegg to confirm everything and the reps assured me everything was perfect and good to go.
5 days later on the 27th, i recieved a backorder email from newegg and my order was cancelled immediately (by newegg) i went back to look for the order but it was not longer there. VANISHED. completely gone as if they were trying to hide something.
now i don't have a tv, newegg still has my money and no gift. Furthermore, i lost opportunities to buy another tv becaused i missed out on all the boxing day deals. Boxing day is the equivalent of Black friday in Canada.
imagine you found a great deal on a tv a few days before black friday. you expect it to be delivered because you paid. then the retailer cancels your order after black friday and now you missed out on all the deals.
I'm not alone. there were many others like me. many have voiced their displeasure on newegg's facebook page and newegg has the audacity to delete these truthful comments. some wanted to know the truth, but newegg didn't care. they offered ppl $25 store credit that could only be used on items >400 and expires in 90 days. talk about adding insult to injury.
I guess this is just their way of saying "Merry Christmas"
on behalf of the little guys, the people - we just want our TV you promised.

"I placed an order for an LG 42LM5800 tv on Dec 22, 2012. Newegg received my money instantly through Interac Online and I received an e-mail saying my payment was verified and the item was in the packaging stage. Then on Dec 27 I received an e-mail stating that the item was back ordered and stating please allow 1 to 2 business days for the back ordered refund. Then just now I received an e-mail stating the refund has been processed and I will receive refund in 3 to 5 business days, which could be as late as Jan 4, 2012.
I really believe that there was no stock of this item and have yet to hear from anyone receiving this tv. I believe Newegg could have promptly let me know that the tv was never in stock and refunded my money by Christmas Eve to allow me to take advantage of Boxing Day sales. And Newegg has my money for up to 14 days. I think this is a very poor way to do business and soured me from doing business with Newegg in the future."
"I purchased a 42" LG TV from Newegg last week when it was on special and they have since deleted my ordered and issued a refund. This is unacceptable and it was handled very poorly. Very poor customer satisfaction at Newegg.ca. Now I am left with no TV and Boxing Day has passed and I can no longer get a good deal."
"Terrible terrible experience this past Christmas with newegg.ca
First of all I ordered a 42" LG LCD 3D TV for $400 which they chose not to honor
After 5 whole days they canceled and deleted my order #1102281134. That's right deleted it and sent a
Email that the Tv was back ordered and no intention of fulfilling that order and a refund is still pending almost a week later.
I bought 3D blu rays and a mount for this. This whole experience has been terrible. Then I was offered a $25 gift card but get this I have to make another order with them ship it to qualify for the card. Are you freaking kidding me?
Very unprofessional and ubsatisfying experience leaving me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Not to mention they have my money hostage which is preventing me from buying something else "
"On December 21, late EST, Newegg.ca had a promotion on an LG 42 inch LED 3DTV where there was an instant $200 savings on an already on sale price of 600, lowering the price to 400. I place my order for this TV on Dec. 22
- I got a confirmation that my order was placed, as well as a confirmation that my credit card was successfully charged and my order was changed to packaging (which meant items were being collected for shipping and I could NOT make any more changes)
- The TV was still labeled as in stock in the morning (9am EST) and only went out of stock a few hours later.
On Dec 24 saw Newegg charge online - RBC VISA. Based on this I did not buy a TV on Boxing Day
On December 27,received e-mail from Newegg.ca stating that the TV was backordered. However, in reality the order was cancelled and deleted from my order history. When I called to complain was offered no explanation on why it was cancelled and the CSR would not guarantee this price even if they got more of the LG in stock.
My issue is that since my VISA was charged I fully expected delivery of the TV thus I didn't buy a TV on Boxing Day plus I had purchased a number of 3D Blue-ray movies on Boxing Day with no TV to play them with.
Thanks NEWEGG. MERRY XMAS!"
"UPDATE: Great resolution from Newegg! Got a similar TV for an even cheaper price (also had the option to receive the original TV at the original price) - could not be happier.
I'm highly disappointed with my first-time experience attempting to purchase something at newegg.ca. Just prior to boxing day, I bought a TV - my CC was soon charged and the order listed as packaging. To my surprise, the order was cancelled by newegg five days later, citing an inventory problem. Unfortunately, newegg has told me it will not be honoring this price, even as a backorder. Thinking I had secured a TV, I missed out on all the other deals during boxing day. I spent all of 2012 waiting for this time of year to make this large purchase, and now I am left with a bitter taste in the mouth because of newegg."
"bought a 42" LG tv, and got the confirmation email telling me it was in packaging ( I was also charged on my credit card) and then I got an email telling me the item was back ordered and my order was canceled."
"Bought a 42" lg led 3d tv last week. My visa was charged. Everything seemed to be going well. Status said "packaging". 5 days later I get a backorder email and that I will be refunded my money. They've withheld my money and I have thus missed out on other deals because I was under the assumption I would receive this tv as there were no problems with my order until 5 days later.
EDIT* newegg has responded and has given appropriate compensation for the troubles caused. Changed rating from 1 to 5."
"Simply terrible shopping experiance! AVOID this shop at all cost.
Purchased TV, money was taken from my Visa account, received confirmation that item is ready to ship, 5 days later backorder email where they actually stated that they will refund me within another 5 days.
All this after boxing day so now there is no other deals and I don't have TV
I was promissed to be called back to discuss this with supervisor, they never called me.
SHAME ON YOU NEWEGG!!!
Edit: Looks like Newegg is planning to make things right....stand by...
Edit2: After many people complained about the same Newegg did the right thing and shipped what we ordered."
""I purchased a LG 42" LED 1080P 120hz Cinema3D HDTV / 2 sets of Dual Play Gaming Glasses from Newegg on December 22, 2012 at 12/22/2012 7:48:17 AM. I received an email within 5 min confirming my credit card had been charged, and that my "order should be processed and ready for ship-out within 24-48 hours."
Logging back into my NewEgg account (within 15 min of purchase time) confirmed that the TV was ready to ship, as my order status had been updated from:
Status: Order Verification - Your order has been successfully submitted. Your credit/debit card has not yet been charged. Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to process.
TO:
Status: Packaging - Your payment has been successfully processed and has passed Order Verification. Products are being collected in the warehouse and boxed for shipment or pick up. Please note that you may no longer make changes to your order.

On December 27, 2012 at 10:28 am (pst), I received an email stating "...unfortunately, one or more item(s) in your recent order cannot be shipped and are now backordered." Keep in mind, this is 6-days AFTER I placed the order, which means I have missed the Dec 26th Boxing Day sales (the Canadian equivalent to the U.S. Black Friday sales)! Any chance to purchase an equivalent TV on sale has now passed.
Oddly, the NewEgg 'backordered' notice also states: "please allow 1 to 2 business days for a refund of the backorder value", which sounds more like a CANCELLATION rather than a backorder. Logging into my NewEgg account, I was very surprised to find all details of the order had been deleted/wiped. This only adds to my suspicion that the true reason for cancellation is being withheld.
Please note - I am part of a larger group of ~400+ (est.) that purchased this TV deal & later receive the 'backordered' notice. Notably, some members have advised they did/are still slated to receive the TV (despite their purchase-order being placed at a later time). "

"Dec 22, 2012 - Make a purchase on Newegg.ca (LG 42" LED 1080P 120hz Cinema3D HDTV / 2 sets of Dual Play Gaming Glasses). Immediately, received two emails saying order was confirmed and credit card charged.
Dec 27, 2012 - Received an email from Newegg.ca saying item now is backordered.
Dec 28, 2012 - Received an email from Newegg.ca saying Refund has been made.
That was my first HDTV purchase and this fiasco had prevented me to purchase another set during the boxing days sale if cancellation was provided earlier. Also, customers aint being compensated unless they call the CSR.
Very bad business practice."
"I purchased an LG 42" LCD TV when it was on sale for $498 on the 21st. Like many others, it was assumed that I would receive the TV shortly after Christmas, so I neglected to seek out other deals on boxing day since I was elated about getting such a nice TV at a great price! I received an order confirmation, my credit card was charged, and I patiently waited for a shipping notice.
Unfortunately, after a week passed, the order just suddenly disappeared from my account details, and I received an email that it was "backordered". Note that this was an automated email and that my credit card had already been charged for a WEEK, tying up any possibility of purchasing any other gifts for myself during the Christmas holiday. Then, a day later, I received another automated email saying that my "cancellation request" was complete, EVEN THOUGH I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT MY ORDER WAS BEING CANCELLED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I've ordered many things in the past from Newegg.ca and my experiences have always been great. However, the way they have handled this fiasco is laughable at best, and really shows that they don't care about their customers at all. I will not be shopping from Newegg from now on, and will advise all friends and relatives to do the same."
"I purchased a LG 42LM5800 LED 1080P 120hz Cinema3D HDTV / 2 sets of Dual Play Gaming Glasses from Newegg on December 21, 2012. I received an email within 5 min confirming my credit card had been charged, and that my "order should be processed and ready for ship-out within 24-48 hours."
After this, I received an email on the same day stating "Your order should be processed and ready for ship-out within 24-48 hours. Below is your confirmation. Please keep a copy for your records."
After receiving that email, I did not receive an email till December 27 stating that "Unfortunately, one or more item(s) in your recent order cannot be shipped and are now backordered. Item(s) may become backordered as a result of an inventory miscount, if remaining inventory is found to be in unacceptable shipping condition and for various other reasons."
Furthermore, they were going to refund my money for the TV due to the fact it will not be shipped. I proceeded to talk to a customer service representative at Newegg and he did not provide me with any other solutions other than the fact my payment will be refunded.
The reasons I am providing a bad review are as follows:
- The funds were taken from my credit card without the item being shipped.
- The fact the funds were taken from my credit card and held for 6 days (still pending refund) means that I am not able to purchase another TV (as I have a low limit on my credit card).
- The fact I ordered this TV, I was unable to purchase another TV during Boxing day deals in Canada.
- The customer service representative who I spoke to over the phone offered little to no help; he only stated that there will be a refund coming to my account.
- They did not offer a solution to the issue at hand.
Furthermore, they erased the order history for the TV attempting to cover up this issue. Luckily, I have saved all of the confirmations/ order statuses and have confirmation that this occurred. Overall, I had an extremely bad experience with Newegg.ca and will not shop with them again."
"I ordered LG 42" LED 1080P 120hz Cinema3D HDTV / 2 sets of Dual Play Gaming Glasses from Newegg.ca. It charged my credit card and emailed me a confirmation that my order is in the packing stage. 5 days later I checked to see my status update and my order was gone. I call customer service and they said that they are back ordered and they cancelled my order. How can a company take money from you and not ship you your item after confirming that the product is being gathered in the warehouse. I've contacted customer service and they offered to let me use the promo code from this deal (which is $200 that particular model). However, they already changed their price online to $200 more so the promo code is nullifies the deal plus they told me that they would probably not get anymore in. Offering $200 off a tv that they are probably not getting anymore instock and holding my money for almost 2 weeks is ridiculous. I would advise people not to order from Newegg!!"
"I ordered the 42" LG TV on Dec 22nd and was processed and put in packaging stage. Finally on the 27th I received a backorder email and my order was removed from the site and canceled. Why take my money if you don't have stock.
This was first time using your site and will be the last and I'll make sure to let all my friends know how shady your company is run.
**UPDATE*** In the end I was able to get my TV, but there are still others who haven't had a resolution yet. However, for me the problem has been fixed and my rating has been adjusted. "
