"The battery in my Garmin would not hold a charge so I ordered a battery from Newpower99. Very easy to install once you watch the video the provide both with the battery and on their website. It took about 5 minutes to do and works great."
"I ordered a NewPower99 D01400 Battery for my 1st Generation Kindle Fire because the original battery was worn out. In less than six (6) months, this NewPower99 Battery won't hold a charge. Adding insult to injury, I apparently have to pay all kinds of exorbitant postage to get this garbage battery replaced under warranty. NewPower99 Batteries are complete garbage. NewPower99 claims that if the battery fails within the first year, they will send you a new one free of charge. That is not true. Customer Service gives you the run-around. Don't waste your money."
"Well they will sell the battery for the Garmin Quest 2, but DO NOT EXPECT any help whatsoever on how to manage the battery once its installed. Mainly my question was how to best optimize the life of the battery. How do you shut completely the GPS, and how long can you keep battery (from draining) once on the off position.
If you advertise on your site how to maximize your new battery at least you should be able to answer this type of questions
"
"I received the battery and tools as described. Other than getting the bezel off my Kindle Paperwhite the rest was easy. Battery fit correctly. However, after completion I charged the battery overnight prior to using. My normal use for reading is approximately 2 hours in the afternoon and 2 hours in the evening 5 to 6 times a week. With the original battery I had to recharge every 4 to 5 days but after installation of the new battery I had to recharge every 2 days with the same reading schedule and no change if settings. The battery indicates 100% charged but I can not seem to get the capacity promised in the sales description. Very disappointed with this battery. Rather than take it apart again I will just keep charging until I get a new Kindle."
"It's a Cameron Sino Battery which you can get off of eBay for $25-30 with free shipping ($50 from Newpower99 with shipping). The one I received also had foam spacers between the two cells (all taped up), which were cut too big (maybe this cell was manufactured wrong?). This made the battery too big to allow the screen close/fit. The included tools are generic phone tools, these will not help with disassembly of an iPad air. -- I removed the spacers and this let the cell fit in the device -- I emailed about getting a replacement that was manufactured correctly, and was told "Our NewPower99 Battery Replacement Kit is a unique product kit containing our proprietary instructional battery replacement video, the best available non-OEM battery available on the market, installation tools necessary to replace the battery in your device, and a one year warranty. If you are not satisfied with the NewPower99 Battery Replacement Kit, and wish to return it for a complete refund, you may do so as follows: Please return the battery replacement kit along with your highlighted order no. and a copy of this email by regular mail to: . A restocking fee may apply." -- I had already corrected the spacers, and have it glued into the iPad. So valuable lesson for me, check eBay next time."
"The tool supplied to open the case was too flimsy to work. I ended up using my Automotive Trim removal tools to open the Garmin. The Screw removal tool was the wrong size and I had to go to the hardware store to purchase the correct size. Once I got the battery out I found that the replacement battery ratings was less than the original. The original was rated at 1320mAh/4.9Wh and the replacement was only 1100mAh/4.1Wh. This was disappointing as it was advertised as being more powerful. The video said nothing about the power button which somehow fell out and I could not get it back in so that it would not continually fall out and I had to tape it into place."
"I'm happy to say that I received my order and installed it. It works like a charm! I wish I had ordered the correct one the first time. I returned the incorrect one and look forward to my reimbursement.
Thank you! :-)"
"I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to find the right part for my Samsung tablet, place the order, and receive it within just a few days. Following the You Tube video on how to replace the battery, I made the repair in a short amount of time."
"This should have been a simple transaction. I use my Amazon Kindle Paperwhite e-book daily. Recently the battery hasn't been holding a charge, so I went to Amazon.com to purchase a new one. Somehow, I wound up on the NewPower99 site and ordered a battery to replace my failing one.
When it came, the installation wasn't quite as easy as their video, but it was no real problem. When I put the unit back together with hte Newpower99 battery, it wouldn't turn on. I decided to charge it, assuming that the new battery was simply not charged. When I plugged in my charger, the charge LED next to the charging port started flashing yellow - something I've never seen before. When I looked it up online, I saw that indicates an aborted charge. Amazon recommended unplugging the charger, waiting a minute, and re-plugging it. The light flashed yellow.
I tried a brand new Amazon charger with a different cable, and still got the flashing light.
Finally out of desperation I once again disassembled the Kindle and installed the old battery. As soon as I put it back together, the unit started right up!
Over the last two days, I have tried the ONLY Customer "Support" contact on their website four times.. They have no phone, mailing address, or any other contact info other then ****@****.
I clearly identified the order number, my name, the battery description and a description of the problem. I also asked for Tech Support and/or Warranty. SO FAR, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE RESPONSE from them.
If you can afford the price and potential frustration of dealing with these people, go ahead and purchase from them. Otherwise, I'd suggest you find another supplier"
"I received the package that included the battery and the small handtools needed to install the battery. Following the instructions was simple, but the DVD did not work in any of my 4 computers. Luckily, there is a video online. It is pretty self explanatory anyway. I had the case open in just a minute, and the battery installed a couple of minutes later. My big hands were more of an issue getting the plug into the circuit board. The battery had a full charge and worked perfectly. Unfortunately, my Garmin Drive 50 will not update anyway. From what I understand from reading the reviews, most GPS systems are junk, and you might as well ask the guy sittin' in front o' th' fillin' station suckin' on a straw fer directions......."
"Fast shipping & just got in. I am fixing the Magella GPS now. Will test to see if it works. Nice tools but the video DVD did not seem to work or pick up on my DVD Rom drive. "
"My kids Amazon Fire tablet needed a new battery and NewPower99 not only had the battery at a great price, they included the video to show me how to replace it. I got the battery quicker than expected and it works great!
Thank you NewPower99!"
"As the total says, the battery is no better than the stock one I had that was dying. At least I won't slowly watch it die more and more"
"Ordering the battery and receipt of the battery were great. Very fast service. The battery came with a partial charge and instructions to charge once it was installed in the Kindle. The battery never charged and is now dead. Received an email saying another battery would be sent to replace the no good battery. Waiting.."
"Wrote a review but this is invoice "
