"Don't waste your time with notebooknerds.com.

I ordered a notebook on 12/20/2013. They charged my credit card immediately, but the item was never shipped even 10 days later.

Nobody answers inquiries. Status was still "awaiting fulfillment" on 12/26, so I sent a request for estimated ship date. No response by 12/30, so I disputed via my credit card and went elsewhere.

This website may have been legitimate sometime in the past, but not anymore.

"ordered a notebook battery for my hp laptop even tho i read these reviews as i would just launch a paypal or credit card dispute if it didnt come in a month but fedex delivered it 6days later and worked perfect on my laptop so no complaints here!!"

"I ordered something from them in August. It is now November. They don't respond to emails, don't EVER pick up their phone during "normal business hours," and their online chat is always closed. Two words: shop elsewhere."

"I personally ordered a refurbished PS3 from them and if I had seen the reviews on here I would have never have ordered it, let me tell you! I know from personal experience people tend to go out their way to leave bad reviews, which is why it seems to be only negative the last few reviews! I emailed them and let them know this page existed because if I found it anyone can, and the statement says 'Notebook Nerds currently does NOT actively participate at ResellerRatings to monitor feedback and resolve your issues.' so I assume they don't know about here?"

"Payment was accepted instantly, but the item ordered has been "awaiting fulfillment" since date of purchase over a week ago. Phone calls have not been returned, Emails have gone unanswered, and "Live Chat" option on website has remained offline.

All signs point to this being a scam. The page reported 11 items in stock. It does not take a week to put a single item in a box.

At this point I just want my money back. They are either 1) Scamming or 2) Utterly incompetent and I would prefer to take my business somewhere that will earn it.

"They suck! Ok really not how I like to start a review, but I heard great things and then when I ordered they wait weeks to tell me that my item is out of stock (a christmas gift for my daughter and they wait til Dec. 24 to email me?). Then they do refund my purchase and say they will ship my item free when they get it, ok so here we are in March, that was only 3 months ago lmao. They also said if I found another one they would pay the difference for me...I though hey what great service! 3 emails later and it has become a one sided conversation, no return emails now, no returned phone calls, they have decided not to follow through with their commitments as a company. Really dissapointing, be very careful ordering from them, they don't seem to care about your experience at all."

"I ordered a Kindle DX on 12/26/2012. The seller told me they were out of stock after the New Year and said they had new products shipping from China. I can receive the item around the mid January. So I waited until Jan. 20th and asked them if they shipped the item. They said they were still waiting the products transferred from China. So I waited two weeks more till 02/14/2013. They finally told me that they are not able to send me the item and would refund me in full. BUT, they never did so! So I have to dispute via PayPal, but it has passed 45 days. I have to call my credit card company to dispute! What a liar! After that they don't answer the phone, don't reply the email, don't response in any way. DO NOT BUY anything from them."

"While Notebood Nerds is technology related, they advertise Health and Beauty products and an out of stock perfume that I use. After a long search for the perfume I ordered the last two bottles "in stock" and never received them. They billed my credit card the day of the order, not as reliable companies only bill when the product is shipped. Then next day I received and update on the product "awaiting shipment". I called twice, sent two emails, and received no call or email response back. It has been six weeks since the order and no additional communication was made by Notebook Nerds. I called my credit card company to void the sale. Wouldn't recommend them at all - for anything. "

"Ordered x35 HDMI and x5 Graphics Cards from Notebook Nerds on November 19th 2012 and had the order on November 21st so was rather pleased.

I gave them a call before hand as saw the review below advising of buyer beware so wanted to check to see if this was a reputable company... managed to get through after about 15 seconds and spoke to a guy called Joseph. Really helpful plus he gave me free shipping which was a massive bonus. Order as described, on time, good customer service and free shipping as I said.

Would definitely order from Notebook Nerds again... thanks Joseph :-)

"I ordered a GTX560 Video card from the site last week as they were the cheapest for this product on google shopping - and was not disappointed. I called after a few days to check the status of my order and left a message. I was called back a few hours later by Darren, who kindly explained the high quantity of orders they are dealing with and that he would keep an eye on my order to make sure it was sent out within the next few days! I must say he stuck to his word, he had my Video card delivered to me within 3 days of speaking to him and kept in contact with me throughout even giving me an E-mail to make sure I was happy with the VC I recieved. Amazing price and even better service.
I will be definatley ordering again in future come xmas time!

"Ordered from NotebookNerds a couple of weeks ago partially based on the reviews from this site - item was never shipped.

It appears judging by what I've seen online that this domain was sold recently and is under new management that is just using it to scam people. The telephone number goes to a voicemail box that no one ever returns calls from, the web forms and email addresses also go unanswered.

Ultimately after a week and a half of no response and no item I filed a Paypal dispute and got my money back. BUYER BEWARE.

"Bought an HP ProBook 6555b. Called to speak to customer services as was unsure on the model that I wanted; really knowledgeable on tech specs and a great deal!

"All I can say is this is one of the best merchants I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

For one, good cheap prices and free shipping, but most importantly free returns as well.

So many things have went wrong for me in the past, trying to buy from the cheapest supplier to save a few dollars only to get the product faulty and have to send it back at my own expense! So this is a must have wherever I buy from now, and notebooknerds is on my bookmarks now.

"I had an Asus Striker Extreme socket 775 motherboard die on me on Wednesday, the 5th of January, 2011. Of course, it always happens when I have a LAN party to attend that weekend.

After lot of searching, socket 775 motherboards seem to be disappearing at an expedient rate, especially ones with SLi capabilities. After I did a bunch of calling around locally, and online for a company that could get me a motherboard by Friday, I settled on notebooknerds.com .

The first reason: they had a GREAT price on the motherboard I was looking for (EVGA nForce 750i mobo) for $50. In most other retailers online, I was looking at price upwards of $175 for obviously out-dated mother boards.
The second reason I used them: it was their service. I called the office, to see if they had the capability of shipping from California (where they are located) to Michigan overnight. It was a long shot, but after speaking with Joseph Winters, The owner, I felt a lot better about the sale.
Joseph had me make the order online, applied with 1-day shipping, and he said he'd get right on it. Man, did he ever. I got an email later that day stating that my fedex shipment had been created at about 3:00pm EST.

I received my board the next day at around 1:30pm, and was actually quite surprised. The board came as advertised, and looked to be in great shape. It was also packed quite well.

I actually, over the phone with Joseph told him, "If you can make this happen for me, I will make sure to write about it online."

What can I say? Joseph did exactly what he said he would do, and I got the board way earlier than I expected from FedEx. This company is flexible, and the owner is personable and dynamic. I would most definitely do business with them again.
