"I ordered a oil cooler for my Kohler engine. I took it out of the box, installed the o-ring in the cooler,(which was in a separate package which I had a open). Went to install it on my engine and realized it was the wrong part. I sent it back which one of their employees said they would refund my money and I told him I had opened the package. Now another guy is telling me they won't refund my money because it was "opened" Crappy company"

"I Googled a Briggs and Stratton replacement engine I was looking to purchase, OPE came up and stated in stock Free shipping so after reading their testimonials I purchased with an approx ship date of the next day. After receiving a purchase confirmation I clicked a link they supplied and all of a sudden a COVID notice showed up stating to be patient? so I waited a couple days to give them the benefit of the doubt and heard nothing. I contacted them through email and was pretty much called a liar and was told not only that a ship date was unavailable but the in stock item was on backorder. I have Emailed and called them several times to cancel and send refund verification to no avail. This company is CROOKED they have their site setup to lure you into purchasing, then after the fact they send order confirmations with a link that contains all the reasons you wouldn't have purchased from them if known.
So do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere, I no doubt will have to stop payment through my credit card company for a refund on an item I don't even have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Bought a Kohler ch640 3126 from ope engines on their website engine showed and ignition switch and throttle controls received a email from a man named Sean asking what the engine was being used for I told him it was for a pressure washer setup and I asked am I ordering the right one? Never received a email back the engine came quickly I will say that and in good packing order when I opened the engine it had no ignition switch nor throttle/choke controls .. contacted ope engines they told me I ordered the wrong engine and I need to order all these extra parts including ignition switch throttle control air cleaner cover.. after buying their products and receiving them I installed them to come to find out throttle cables were too short ignition switch did not work.. left several messages asking for help never received a phone call nor a text nor an email.. finally had to bring the engine to a local repair shop that charged me hundreds of dollars saying the wiring harness was defective.. bottom line if you're going to buy from ope engines make sure you do all your homework because they will not help you at all their customer service is one star and beyond horrible all they care about is selling engines they do not care about you I promise you that.. I've always dealt with Honda but there is a shortage right now so I had to go with Kohler.. but I will never buy from o p e engines again just for the basic fact that they would not return my calls it would not return my emails or text.. so buyer beware."
"The motor died in my exmark and I was looking for a motor (kohler). I did alot of research and was getting quotes of $1500- $2500 just for a 19 HP motor. I then called OPE and they gave me a price of about $1200, free shipping. Then the salesman said, "maybe I can save you some money." I thought, oh brother, now what. He told me he had a motor (new) that I would have to change the starter and wiring harness for $900. With some trepidation I ordered it. In less than a week I had my brand new motor. A day later the little lady (my wife) is back on her mower. Thanks OPE. Highly recommended."
"When I placed an order 3 days had gone by without receiving shipping confirmation when myself called asking questions about shipping and warranty the man wants to cry like a little girl and tell the manager that I was being rude and has my order cancelled when called back and talked to the manager he wants to be rude and hang up on me. do not buy from this company they are crooks and they lie and they are rude take your hard earned money somewhere else. There is 2 sides to every story and the manager chooses to stick up for his lying employee... I ordered with an accessory that I thought would not be included, and the next day they called me to be sure I really wanted it...the person told me that the saw would come with this accessory, so he was able to save me some money by cancelling it off of my order. How many stores will call you to reduce their profits? Saw came quickly and looks to be in good order."

"First off if you have a tractor motor problem it’s going to cost you money. The mechanic isn’t free, and the grass doesn’t stop growing. Paying someone to cut your 4 acres of grass isn’t cheap. An if you keep having issues with a brand new motor it’s very frustrating! So here we go!
I bought a kohler engine from ope for my ex mark tractor. Had it installed by a certified kohler mechanic. I had an issue with it starting, it wouldn’t! I called to talk with ope about this problem. A guy named Shawn told me he wanted to talk with a technician about it and would call me back. That never happened! In the next hour my mechanic figured the problem out by taking the spark plug out and trying to start It. The engine blew smoke and oil out of the spark plug hole and eventually started. All good I thought. I tried to cut my lawn 3 times with it running horribly. It would power surge and cut out. My mechanic came back out to tell me the carburetor is not working properly. He figured during shipping the engine must have been turned over causing oil to run in places it shouldn’t be, and messing things up. I called ope again and left a message with no return call. I called again and talked to Shawn , he told me to call kohler. Basically no help when I purchased the engine from ope??? They should be calling kohler on my behalf!! They deal in motors and shipping of motors, they should no the ins and outs of how to deal with any issues that arise. They took my $2130 on my behalf very easily! Horrible customer service, they do not care! They should be handling this I did not by from kohler I bought from ope. Don’t make the same mistake!"
"Website lead me to a part through their search by model number menus. This was the wrong part and they refused to find any fault and help to make it right and exchange it. I will never use this company again and would highly recommend searching for a different one for your needs. Highly disappointed! I would leave a lower score if possible. "
