"I recently placed a CUSTOM order to be delivered before Christmas. I gave them three weeks to get the order placed and shipped. It is now 2 days before Christmas and I go online to check the status of my order and it says "CANCELLED". WTH? I didnt cancell the order, so I call. Oakley tells me they dont have all the items in stock so therfor the order was cancelled. no email, no call just cancelled! I am now without a Christmas preent for my son and it is TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS! I will never recommend this product or your service to anyone! You are officially the GRINCH that has robbed my son of his Christmas !!!!! "
"I recently purchased an Oakley nylon belt only to find out it does not properly fit any of my pants. The belt does not fit through any of the belt loops on any of my pants. I'm certain Oakley is not to blame as every paint manufacturer is probably wrong in the side belt loops they are mass producing. Very disappointed in the product along with the customer service. certain I will never purchase anything similar to this from them again."

Bought 400 pair of glasses, went to exchange them NEXT day ( had not even wore them once!) and the lady was so rude and said no , I see a small scratch so I can't exchange them! . "I have worked with an Oakley retailer and Oakley direct for 6 years now. These people writing half of these reviews must be on crack. One of the best customer service in the industry and the best product hands down. Read through some of these reviews and you'll see how rediculous they are. One reviewer was upset that it took a few days to process CUSTOM sunglasses and that shipping and processing is based on standard business days which are "ONLY" Monday through Friday. Just like every other company..."
"CAUTION....My wife had purchased an expensive pair of Oakley sunglasses for my son who is a Marine. After one month of wearing them the screw or pin that holds the arm that goes over the ear had came out. We were told to return them to Oakley customer care. Oakley had them for almost 2 months and kept calling about replacing the frames and then another call about replacing the lenses and they were asking for almost $100.00. We just wanted the arm re-attached to the frames, simple right. Oakley refused and sent the glasses back to us but not the way we had sent them, the lenses were pulled off from the frames and were cracked. After another call to Oakley I was told that they would replace them,for...you got it $100.00. After reading reviews from other people having similar problems with many of their products I will never purchase anything Oakley, it's poor Chinese made products at high cost."
"I'd like to share all of you a story
After my last experience with a failing oakley product and an again really unsatisfying response by the customer-service here is my tale of fails:
I don't know if your company really wants their product to be good, or the customer at least satisfied with it. I personally would think that if my product was failing, the customer at least could get a replacement or an otherwise satisfying option. Apparently, when you've grown to a certain size as a company, individual customers don't seem to count anymore. And this is speaking from my personal experience with oakley products, since i own or have owned quite a lot of them. and unfortunately have also have had my fair deal of problems with them:
So far the only product that didn't have any trouble was my m-frame glasses, all of the other products have had some kind of failure:
- Oakley Gascan S: coating on lens letting go, needed to buy new lenses (polarized, so quite expensive)
- Oakley Jury: leg of the frame broke off, not covered by warranty, had to buy a new frame (which i discovered, had a changed design, the part that broke in my frame isn't in the new frame, the leg attaches differently)
- Oakley Radar: polarized coating letting go, still in the process with your dealer in getting a new lens (for over 9 months now) and when i told this story to the customer service, the anwser was: we only sell in the US, so your screwed (living on aruba)
- Oakley SI pilot gloves: well, plainly disintegrating... Since i use these gloves for both my work in the military and for mountain bike riding I'm disappointing that they are unusable. I decided to buy an other brand gloves for mountain bike riding (which are machine washable by the way)
- Oakley SI M-frame 2.0: coating letting go, after contacting your SI customer service i recieved 2 lenses without any fuss, great service on their part.
There seems to be a big problem with the durability of the coatings, as i see and hear quite a lot.
As you can see, my Oakley history isn't the luckiest apparently.
It also seems that your product quality is getting worse with the years, since my oldest oakely is the only one still functioning. And customer 'service' apparantely is only seen as service in your SI departement...
I just think this was the last product of your brand that i have purchased, and i am very dissapointed in saying so. At first i thought the quality and service was maybe a one time experience or an unfortunate circumstance, but if have been fooled to may times since then by your products and service-levels, so now i see otherwise.
Hope you could use my experiences in helping future and current customers, which i stress again, will not include me."
"Honestly, I will NEVER order custom glasses or ANYTHING from oakley.com
No where did it tell me that processing takes 2-7 business days. And on top of that, their business days are mon-fri ONLY. I ordered my glasses, one pair, on a Friday morning. It's now tuesday evening and theyre still "in process." On top of all that, I got the 2-day air shipping, which was another $9.80 additional to the $140 plus $9.08 for tax. I emailed them out of frustration, and the email I recieved back was, "we will get to your email in 2 days." Oakley is NOT at all worried about their customers. As long as they get their money, it doesnt matter when you get the product. If you want a pair of Oakley glasses I suggest you go to your local sporting goods store and get them. The product itself is awesome, but the company & customer service SUCKS."

"I ordered a pair of Oakley Fast jackets custome made with my name on the lens. I placed my order Thur. & I received them the today which is just 3 business days after I placed the order. I did pay the extra for next day delivery so Im sure that probably helped alot. But my glasses are perfect. Its the 2nd time I used Oakley.com & have had great experience with them both times. Dont know if im lucky or what but I will definitely use them again if I buy anything else Oakley"

They charged a restocking fee on a returned sunglasses that was supposedly damaged. It was returned in the same condition as it arrived in and with all the original contents. I'm sure it was some bogus claim to recoup losses involved with returns. As if the sunglasses weren't expensive enough, you get reamed like this from customer service. Ridiculous!"
"I have been a fan of OAKLEY ever since 1998 when I was first purchased a pair of sunglasses from them.Ever since that I must have spent thousand of $$ between eye ware, clothing, shoes etc. Recently for the first time I had to return/exchange a pair of sun glasses that I purchased on an impulse and later did not like the way they looked on me and this is where the trouble starts. The same employees that were so nice turned out mean, rude and very unfriendly. I am sad to say but my recent experience with OAKLEY organisation has left a very negitive impacto .To OAKLEY customer is not the most important person. "Oakley sunglasses are AMAZING! Nothing can beat Oakley. However... Oakley's customer service really disappointed me this time.
A few weeks ago, I ordered my 5th pair of Oakley sunglasses. 3 I have purchased at stores, 2 online at Oakley.com.
My order: Fast Jacket. 10 days after my order, I was finally notified that my glasses were on backorder. A few days after reading that, I emailed customer service and asked to change my order to a product that wasn't on backorder and also change the color of the oakley symbol. Oakley replied but only responded to the color change. I sent a second email which was never responded to. On the third email, I requested to cancel my order. 4 days later, Oakley sent a shipping order to me.
Oakley's customer service is absolutely AWFUL. If you want Oakley's then go to a store and buy them in person."

After 7 days placing order I got nothing back from oakley.com, so I emailed them, no response, phoned them, says my order take 5 weeks to delivery, WTF! and they say I cant cancel it neither. I ordered that for my ipad, but now I got my ipad made and shipped to me in 3 days all the way from china and they can't make a bag in 5 weeks? Never order from oakley.com again!"
