"I ordered something online back in July and never heard from them. I login my online account and the status is "Deleted-Inventory reasons". They don't even bother to send a email to inform me."
"I will not be using Office Depot in the future. I ordered a couple of small items from them and paid the $10 shipping charge. This was late on a Friday night. I decided over the weekend I did not want the items so first thing Monday morning I called to cancel my order. The woman in customer service said I could not do so. After I hung up the phone I checked my account and it said "shipping pending". I called back and said I did not understand why I could not cancel my order if it had not been shipped. She continually said she was sorry, but the item had been processed and was in their warehouse and therefore could not be cancelled. I asked to speak with her supervisor. I was told her supervisor was not in. She said she would send out an e-mail to some level above her, but that the decision would not change.
I understand that it was my mistake in ordering the goods and then wanting to cancel. However, if the items have not yet been shipped, it should be possible to cancel the order. This is just ridiculous. This is the first and last time I shop online at Office Depot."
"zero star, unfortunately that was not an option. I purchased by USB memory thru online at Homedepot homepage. order confirmed. Went to pick it up and homedepot refused to honor my order. The reason was: there was a mistake and your order has been canceled. I drove all the way there just to find that out? The more respectful companies will honor the order even if there was a mistake and the worse companies at least should email the customers of the cancellation so me, the customer doesn't have to waste my gas and time driving there just to be turned down with super poor customer service "sorry, we can't give you your order" that's it? So I rate office depot: the worst company!"

"I ordered an HP Touchpad from Office Depot. My item was put on Backorder and a couple days later cancelled. I did not cancel my order, Office Depot did. Now they are filling backorders and people who ordered AFTER me are getting Touchpads. I called to complain and was told I would be contacted from the Executive Department within 48 hours. "I ordered an HP laptop for my daughter and to my surprise I was provided with an used one packaged as new in the original HP shipment box concealing the manufacturer tag with the office depot 14 day return tag. I discovered this day light robbery after reaching home and when I brought this to their attention, there was not even an apology rendered. They acted as if this was known to them and I just escaped being fooled. This is the worst customer experience and I request all to take note of this before purchasing anything from Office Depot."
"I ordered a remanufactured toner cartridge online. It arrived within a couple of days but was covered in dust and the box was worn. As long as it worked, I didn't care. Well, it didn't work, so I packaged everything up and took it to the Office Depot in Los Gatos. The Supervisor and Assistant Manager claimed that my order did not come from Office Depot because the product box was not theirs. I showed them the product I ordered on their website, had my packaging and purchase receipt, and the bag it arrived in. He insinuated that it didn't matter what I showed them, that I was lying because it wasn't in their product box. He refused to give me a refund. He told me that if I actually "did" buy it online from Office Depot, then I needed to go home and call OfficeDepot.com. After I stated that my company would no longer shop there and repeatedly told him that I didn’t like the way he was treating me, he finally gave me a refund (but with bad attitude).
I have never been treated so badly by a retail store. I will never purchase another item from Office Depot and will let everyone I know how bad the service is. I advise anyone reading this review to take your business elsewhere.

"I ordered a 2-pack of HP ink from Office Depot. It arrived promptly 2 days later, but it had expired 2 months earlier. That means it's what, maybe 2 years old? I called to complain and the rep said she had never heard of such a thing and couldn't imagine how it could have happened. She arranged for a return and had a new pack shipped to me. Imagine that! It had the same expiration date. When I called again the rep arranged for another return but did not offer to replace it. After multiple hassles I still have no ink."

Spoke with managers and again, rude and angry. This is the last time I deal with Office Depot. I'd rather give my business to Staples with the way Office Depot handles their customers."
"Placed an order of two BP cards at sale price, received confirmation letter with estimated shipping/arrival dates. Did not get the cards by the estimated dates, then I went to the website the check my order status, only to find that the order magically disappeared. They didn't even try to send out an email notifying me about the order, they just pretend nothing happened!!

"I spent almost 4 hours to be able to order a Hp touchpad 32 Gb from Office depot website on 8/20/2011. Everything was going smoothly, and I got a arrival date on 8/25/2011. On 8/23/2011, I got an email to confirm that I would get my item on 8/25/2011. However, the items never arrived, so I called my local office depot (in Hawaii) to check about my order status, and the manager sound very unfriendly, and told me there was no more Hp touchpad, and they won't have it in the future, and just cancelled my order immediately. He didn't even say something like "sorry, we did make a mistake". He just said that he didn't know who sent me the confirm letter, but whoever told me I would get the touchpad was wrong.
I didn't mind if they told me they didn't have the item when I ordered it, but why told me I would definitely get my item on 8/23/2011. If they told me earlier, I would try to look for other places, and I would not sold my old tablet. From this experience, I can tell Office depot's operation system and their IT department is very disorder, who are their managers really need to compensate all of this."

"I ordered two Anji Mountain Bamboo chair mats from Office Depot online, on two separate occasions. Their price was the lowest available for this bamboo office chair mat, and they shipped this heavy item free of charge. They indicated a delivery date about two weeks from my order date, which seemed rather long. However, on both occasions the chair mat arrived in good condition several days before the indicated delivery date. In the meantime, when I tried to track the progress of delivery using Office Depot's email link from my order data, I kept getting an uninformative "in process" result -- even after the day of actual delivery."
