Oldies.com is my worst online experience in 16 years of online shopping.
They show despotism and contempt for the customer who approaches them (with indignation) for their bad service.
They made me feel powerless, frustrated and sick as never before when contacting customer service over the phone.

I placed an order on May 26 (2012). That purchase never arrived even 3 days after the due date, and I haven't received the refund requested as of June 25, 2012.

[June 21(last possible day of delivery)] The first day I called, I explained the problem to an operator. She sent me to an answering machine.
I called immediately after and requested to speak to a manager.
The manager I spoke to, (called Tim), said that everything was solved and ask me to give just a moment for the amount to appear in my account. It never did!

[June 22] I called again and the operator never let me finish a sentence, speaking simultaneously or rather above my voice. She ended up yelling at me and never letting me finish a sentence.
I said at the end:"well, so this is your customer service?" and she yelled "yes, this is it". And hung up on me!
Immediately I called them again. A man (called Leo) answer the phone.
He let me yell at him quietly, but he lied on behalf of Oldies.com again.
He said without any regret "your shipment has been sent yesterday"
I responded: "I don't have to pay for your mistakes. You notified me of the shipping on May 26. Your shipment didn't come the day you scheduled it, and I missed the date for a very important present. I already bought the present in another store, and I need my money back. Now you've sent another shipment notification three weeks later. I don't care. It's your fault. I don't need it any more"
His answer was: "Your refund will be put in your account today regardless. Just return the package to us when it arrives".

The refund never was made that day and as of today June 26 2012, nothing has shown up in my account.

I'm have not even received an apology for their aggravation.
They just have added insult to my pain for not being able to fulfill my dearest friend birthday wish. oldies.com just added insult by lying and screaming to me over the phone.

I really thought that the Discover Card - Peggy Customer Service commercial was an exaggeration,
but this experience with OLDIES.COM proved me wrong.

"I placed a simple order with Oldies.com & it was placed on hold because of a fraud alert. I contacted the company by e-mail & twice by phone. I was told a supervisor would call me back, that didnt happen. When I filed a complaint with the company, I all of a sudden recieved an e-mail from the supervisor Dennis. When I made it clear I no longer would do buisness with them,unless the order was sent compliments of Oldies.com, I received severals calls from Dennis. These DVDs were for my mother,whos elderly & disabled, I myself suffer from Lupus{SLE) & this kind of stress is not something I need."
