"Be aware that NO support is offered by U.S.-based Samsung for "international" phones. Other country Samsung phones only supported within their country. On the Go does not disclose nor do they offer assistance regarding regarding defective phone issues. Spent weeks on my own to test and troubleshoot. Seller refused to exchange. They actually want to charge me a restock fee for the defective unit and then resell it! Also, communicating with them is extremely difficult."
"I have an HTC G2. Lousy phone until I sent it into OnTheGo Solutions. They rooted the device, installed a custom rom with HTC Sense and free wifi tether which I'm using now to write this review. Totally awesome.
Thank you OnTheGo!"
"Purchased an unlocked & rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 from On The Go Solutions. I couldn't be happier - love the phone, love the root functionality, and love the service. Great pre-sales support, and excellent after sales support.
Will be buying from them again."
"I purchased the unlocked, rooted HTC Inspire 4G. Right off, it would not recognize the SIM and sent off an email to them. They never responded. I worked with the phone and finally got it to recognize the SIM MOST of the time. It intermittently stops recognizing the SIM and I have emailed them about this problem another 2 times within the first 2 weeks but they do not reply. I will never do business with them again."
"I ordered the ORA Car Pack. In the description of the item it said it came with a car charger.
I received the item w/out a car charger. I contacted the sales department via email 3 times and NEVER received a response. They chose to ignore me and my question as to why no car charger was included with my order, despite the description saying so.
The inaccurate advertising and order description, combined with their lack of response and poor treatment, not to mention rather pricey tag for the car mount ($39.99 - I've since found it for 27.95 [with the car charger, I might add] at other online vendors) - provided plenty of incentive to give them the thumbs DOWN. I won't be shopping here again."
"I ordered a HTC Touch Diamond from On The Go Solutions on Aug 19, 2008.
The operator on the phone explained me the difference between the US and the European/Asian versions of the phone. (Basically the bandwiths they use are not the same.) Also mentioned that the Diamond Pro is a quad band phone, so it the safest to buy, if you use it in different countries (USA/Europe/Asia).
Touch Diamond:
- Tri-band GSM: 900/1800/1900 MHz
- Dual Band 3G
Touch Diamond Americas:
- Tri-band GSM: 850/1800/1900 MHz
- Dual Band 3G: 850/1900 MHz
Touch Diamond Pro:
- Quad-band GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
- Dual Band 3G, 900/2100 MHz
I ended up buying the Touch Diamond original version. With the 2nd day shipment I got it on Thursday without any problem. The product was brand new."
