"I wanted to order a new 2021 mercury 20hp with electric start. At that time they were out of stock but I was notified when their shipment came in. Within 1 day I ordered my Motor. In 5 days Fedx was backing in my driveway. Note: well packaged and no damage. Fedx driver told me that they deliver a lot of motors from this company.
Any questions that I had prior to ordering were answered the same day through their online customer service dept.
I was well pleased and would purchase again.

"This company is not a scam!! They're actually Cumberland Watersport based out of Tennessee and their online sales is Onlineoutboards.com I ordered a Suzuki 20hp motor on 7-17 and used PayPal. Online Outboards sent me an email within minutes letting me know that this motor is on back order and not going to be in until the end of July. They apologized and offered to keep my order open or offered to change my order. They had a 20hp Mercury motor in stock and offered me $150 off that motor if I wanted one right away. I did chose to wait for the Suzuki to come in stock. I got an email on the 24th saying my motor was shipping and got the tracking number, and money was taken by PayPal this day (company did not process payment until motor was available). FedEx picked up my motor on Friday the 25th and had it over weekend and started transporting on Monday. I received my motor at 10:30am Tuesday morning in perfect condition.
The company that people are talking about being a scam does have a similar name to this one unfortunately. But this company onlineoutboards.com is legit and so far I have gotten amazing service with them and will absolutely use again."

"I had been looking at Tohatsu motors for my 10' inflatable boat about three months. I scoured the internet for reliable sellers. I saw all the scam sites and scam prices.
I read the horror stories from various reviews.
Then I found Cumberlandwatersports.com and was directed to www.onlineoutboards.com.
I don't know about all the negative reviews here for online outboards. I read many of them. Still, I went ahead and ordered my outboard from them on May 21, 2020.
I'll be very honest here. My motor was delivered May 26, 2020 (5 days later) without a hitch. The memorial day holiday held the delivery up a day. The motor was packaged very securely and protected very well in a heavy carton encased in form fitting styro encasement.
I'll say this about buying online. Read the reviews and take them with a grain of salt. There's not a business in the world that is perfect. Same holds true with customers. Retailers are struggling like we are. They want us to be satisfied as much if not more than we want to be happy.
So when buying online keep that in mind. Onlineoutboards.com is not a scam based on my experience. That of course is what I go by. I did research the web site with scambuster and other reliable fact checking sites. I could not find any reliable information that would lead me to think the site is a scam.
I did not have the need to use tech support or customer service. So I am unable to reliably comment on those areas. I did need to use the payment tab and that was a breeze. I already expressed my opinion on the shipping aspect. That could not have been better. The product I received is as I expected. A brand new reliable motor. What more could I ask for?
Coupled with free shipping made this a win win.
One last item is this. onlineoutboards was not the least expensive site I found. They did have the most reliable information available. So, I am confident I made the right choice.
That being said I think it's important to share a positive experience and with potential buyers of any higher priced product.
Do your homework and you will be as happy as I am. "
