"Ordered a widget 2/19, website stated backordered til 3/12. 3/12 comes and goes, website updates to 3/19 ship date. 3/19 ship date comes and goes, so I call customer service, who then contacts the MFR, and they then promise a 4/6 ship date.
Today is 4/6 and they now say the item will not ship until 4/16. But cannot explain why anyone should believe the 4/16 ship date when the previous 3 ship dates (including a PROMISE date) come and go.
In short, do NOT trust these folks with your backorder. They are fully aware their computers are literally making stuff up out of the air and literally could not care less about the troubles it causes.

"Ordering from OC is pretty simple and straightforward, no issues. It's after the sale that gets you. If you need to contact customer service I wish you all the luck in the world. It took them just shy of 24 hours to respond. When they did respond, nothing was done except a restatement of my issue, and a half hearted pleasantry. It's been a week now and still no resolution. Unless the component(s) you need is only carried by OC, which I highly doubt, I suggest going elsewhere to order it. It's just not worth the headache and time spent trying to contact these people. Their customer service stinks!"
"Called in looking for a vital $60 part and provided a website link for another site that had the part in stock for $40 but had passed their cutoff for overnight. The sales person told me they don't even buy it that low and besides there was a $50 minimum. I told me to sell it to me for $50 and he needed approval, but that was denied. "
" I ordered 143 quantity of a part which stated 'in stock, ships today' on their website. However, they sent it in 3 separate shipments on different days. A bit strange because I didn't receive any notification of this, just 3 separate UPS shipment emails.
The prices here are pretty good in general however and at least they seem to be USA based. "
